The Evil Emporium is a shop in Season 8 owned by Xisumavoid (and formerly Evil Xisuma) that sells various items. Instead of diamonds, it used Derpcoin and Premium Derpcoin. Derpcoin was sold at various prices deliberately to make it difficult to determine its value in diamonds. It is located in the gravel plains behind Xisumavoid's starter base. Recently, Evil Xisuma fled the server when his powers became too weak to keep the illusion of Derpcoin, and the currency reverted to its original, worthless, form. It is currently unknown how the shop will respond to this.

Staking[]

Staking allowed Hermits to make passive income off their Derpcoin. First, they buy a Derpkey, which allows them to claim a Derpcoin staking pass. They then use their Derpcoin staking pass to invest five stacks of Derpcoin into the system. They then generate interest off of these Derpcoin using a redstone clock.

The Derpcoin was the primary currency used in the Evil Empire. It was created by Xisumavoid and Evil Xisuma early in the season and was exchanged with diamonds. There were also Premium Derpcoin and Strider Coin variations. The coin could be used outside of the Evil Empire, but was not accepted at all shops. With Evil Xisuma losing his powers with the growth of the moon, Derpcoin was no longer valued on the server.
