ThePixelNerds are former Hermits, a group of three players with 16,800 subscribers,[3] who joined the Hermitcraft server in Season 1. The group consisted of alex2295, Joenagee, and joshuaaap.[4] They quit YouTube shortly after the beginning of Season 2, though Joenagee returned several years later for a charity video for Stella's Army in 2015. Season 1[]
ThePixelNerds joined midway through Season 1, after being invited by their friend Topmass. Their Season 1: Episode 1 details their journey out to a base area behind Topmass's area, where they built a series of eclectic builds. This includes a castle that was floating in the sky, a brewing area made to look like a rocket, a house built into the side of a wall and a nether portal room that could be accessed from both land and by boat. In addition to these, they constructed several other builds and were involved in several pranks, including shutting down a coffee shop that Topmass had set up in his base. ThePixelNerds uploaded a total of 14 episodes. The episodes were recorded by Joshuaaap.

Season 2[]
ThePixelNerds briefly returned for the early part of Season 2, without joshuaaap. The two remaining members of ThePixelNerds team built a small survival structure on their first day and a windmill which became their HQ. Shortly after this video, Alex2295 left the group. Joenagee was seen logging in and out of the Hermitcraft server a few times, and was last seen in-game walking around Topmass's base area. The episode was recorded by Joenagee.
