Sahara was an Architech run shop located between the Shopping District and the Futuristic District. It was considered an 'Amazon Prime in Minecraft but faster' and it is known to be one of the biggest projects, if not the biggest project, on the server to date, requiring at least 3 months of work before being ready for its beta release. It's main idea was to sell a majority of in-game items in one place. Its original motto was (sort of) a direct attack towards Amazon's motto, 'Yeah, but we've got lots of sand.'.

Their actual motto was, 'We have a lot of stuff, but we have a lot of sand.'.

Appearance[]

Sahara was a very large facility whose exterior is made mostly of concrete with large stained glass windows. It's composed of several buildings.

The warehouse is where all of Sahara's stock was stored. It's full of redstone decoders and item filters that allow the Sahara team to find customer orders and have it delivered to the shop front via ice ducts. The shop front is where the customers can make and receive orders. It included a nether portal and a news studio.

Grian crashed the hopper using a Jacket Potato.

Marketing Campaigns[]

To advertise and get customers, the trio had undergone some marketing campaigns to advertise the shop.

Grian advertised Sahara in an unusual way. He would take off all his valuables (excluding his Elytra supplies) and fill his inventory with papers renamed 'Shop at Sahara!' or 'One coupon, Shop at Sahara!' as leaflets. He then flew up to a Hermit, and used Slow Falling Potion stances to get their attention, and kill himself by crashing right into them, spilling all his leaflets for the Hermit to pick them up.

He also filmed an advert with Rendog.

Bunker[]

The Sahara NOW interface

Sahara NOW was an alternative members-only shop for those who purchased a Sahara NOW membership (for 100 diamonds apiece), providing one-of-a-kind, themed shulker boxes usually with bulk items or blocks for discounted prices. Hermits with a Sahara membership could cycle through a variety of unique shulker boxes, each based on a specific theme, such as boxes filled with bulk sand, bulk logs, an armour & tool & elytra set, 27 sponges, etc.

The NOW interface was located on the members-only second floor of the Shop Front, in a small alcove with the NOW logo plastered on the wall above it.

Sahara Express[]

After the 1.14 update, a large portion of the server moved and built in new chunks where new villages could spawn. In order to serve these customers who were far from their main bases and from the shopping district, Sahara Express was opened in the new area.

Sahara Speedy Pines Raceway[]

Rendog's Speedy Pines, in Hermit Land, was a Sahara branded iceboat racetrack. Initially constructed as an independent venture by Rendog, he soon realized that collecting such large amounts of ice would be near impossible. As a solution, he bought the ice off Iskall85 who had a large and efficient ice farm and in return, Sahara would gain advertising right over the racetrack.

Sahara Fuel[]

Sahara Fuel was a shop constructed near to the main entrance sign to Hermit Land. It sold rockets and XP orbs, the idea being that these were items that hermits would require often. XP and Rockets were automatically dispensed in set amounts by dispensers when a button was pressed. To emphasize the convenience of the shop, it was modelled on a petrol station in Sahara colours.

Sahara Eats[]

Sahara Eats was a store in Hermit Land that sells golden carrots and made to look like a smaller version of Sahara. It was designed as a food stand in a theme park to fit with the aesthetic of Hermit Land The SE sign that's on top of the store, got changed to Sandals by the Jingler.

Sahara Jackpot[]

Sahara Jackpot was a concept created by Iskall85 towards the end of the season as a marketing campaign and to boost sales. Every so often, a token would be dispensed with an order, and these could eventually lead to a jackpot being won.

At the end of Season 6, the Architechs met for one last time and discovered that they had broken even, with only a measly profit of 5 diamond blocks. Celebrating the fact that, despite it being small, they had indeed made a profit, they launched the diamonds to Season 7. The diamonds arrived at MumboJumbo's base on his final episode of Season 7.
