TCG Token is a custom item working as a currency in Season 9, that is part of Hermitcraft Trading Card Game. Tokens are needed to buy TCG cards, and the main way to get them is by playing TCG matches. VintageBeef implemented it into the game so that players would be forced to play to develop their decks. It was advised to him by JoeHills.[1]

TCG Matches[]
The main way to earn tokens is by playing TCG matches, however, the presence of a Game Master as a referee is required, because only Game Masters can distribute tokens. There are four tokens for each match, which can be divided between players in two ways: 2:2 or 1:3.

TCG Tournament[]
It was a huge TCG competition and the prize for the top two places included TCG Tokens. There was no prize for the other places, but every person participating could still count on at least one token per match.[2]

The prizes were awarded during the Championship, which was the final of the Tournament. Additionally, an award for the Season 1 Winner and gifts for the spectators of the match were given out at this event. This also included tokens.[3]

Usage[]
The only use of tokens is to buy packs of TCG cards in the TCG Shop. Different packages have different prices (between 1 and 5 tokens). The tokens were also used once in the auction for the "Bdubs Error Card".
