SmallishBeans, better known as Joel, is a Hermit with over 4,000,000 subscribers. His most viewed YouTube video is Minecraft BUT The Version Updates Everyday... On February 2, 2024 he announced that he has joined Hermitcraft in Season 10.[1]
Season 9[]
SmallishBeans made two guest appearances before officially joining the server, both during Season 9.
During the Rift storyline, most of the Empires SMP members went through the rift and ended up on Hermitcraft Season 9. SmallishBeans made a mini version of his Empires base and lived in the Christmas village.
SmallishBeans was also invited onto the server as part of the Decked Out 2 event.

Smallishbeans went for a Tokyo-inspired Japanese Cyberpunk theme for his Season 10 base.
Starter Base[]
SmallishBeans started with building a shed to store his items. Then proceeded to built a Japanese-style house as his starter base.
Main Base[]

Smallishbeans main base features both large mega-skyscrapers and traditional Japanese architecture. He is located on Magic Mountain between ImpulseSV and MumboJumbo.

Smallishbeans has three shops: The honey shop, XP shop at spawn, and Glow with the Flow.
Interactions[]
With the help of Grian, Smallishbeans eliminated xBCrafted as a part of Demise. This event is known as "Exodia". He participated in Mission Possible, and started the Purpur Prank War with PearlescentMoon.
