The Signs Of Admiration[1] also called as Letters of Appreciation[2] or Admiration Signs[3] were Grian's spontaneous, final initiative in Season 9. On the last day of the season Grian explored the server, visiting many different places he could find. He had some leftover signs from decorating the Super Speedy Highway, so he used them to leave messages saying what he appreciated about the other Hermits, their buildings and other projects.[4]

"Everything you make contains a part of your beautiful soul." |
Grian started his journey around the server by visiting Scarland. He came up with the idea of leaving signs at the bases he sees, while touring this theme park.
In his first sign he addressed his opinion, that GoodTimesWithScar, when building, puts a part of himself into what he creates and Scarland is the best example of this.[5]

Decked Out 2 () |
"Decked Out has unified the server in a way nothing else has." |

Other signs[]

"I NEVER want to hear back of the base jokes again Mumbo! |
Due to the informal nature of the Signs Of Admiration, it is difficult to determine whether this sign was one of them. It was placed in the same episode, but before the whole initiative. Its content is also not related to admiration.
This sign is in reference to the ongoing joke about the unfinished back of Grian's bases, which started with his G-Mansion in Season 7. However, in Season 9 Grian managed to finish the back while MumboJumbo did not.[7]
iJevin's base (probably) | (unknown) | At the end Grian visited iJevin's base to appreciate the buildings he created there. After leaving the base, Grian has one less sign in his inventory, so there is a possibility that he also left a sign of admiration there. However, it wasn't shown in the episode. |
Trivia[]
- Because the signs were placed hours before the end of Season 9 it is unlikely that the Hermits managed to find and read them, which means ZombieCleo may be the only one who has seen their sign of admiration, as they were present when it was written.
