The Season 7 Turf War was a series of conflicts between Hermitcraft Environmental Protection, led by GoodTimesWithScar, against the Mycelium Resistance, led by Grian. Eventually, the Mycelium Resistance won, meaning that HEP had to restore the shopping district back to being beautiful. In the end, it was never about grass or mycelium, but it was all about the principle.
Groups[]
Mycelium Resistance[]
For more details, see Mycelium Resistance.
The Mycelium Resistance consists currently of Grian, ImpulseSV, Rendog, xBCrafted, Stressmonster101, Docm77, EthosLab, and XBCrafted. iJevin was not actually recruited but accepted a formal invitation to join, and MumboJumbo, recruited as the Leader of Vaults and Mycelium by XBCrafted in his vault. MumboJumbo later joined HEP for having a better vault. Docm77 was called to aid by the goat signal and helped the Resistance to protect their base. Iskall85 was invited to join, but declined the invitation. The Resistance had three bases and used the slogan "It's about the principle".
Hermitcraft Environmental Protection[]
For more details, see Hermitcraft Environmental Protection.
The Mayoral Government consists currently of Mayor GoodTimesWithScar, Cubfan135, Xisumavoid, Mayoral Assistant BDoubleO100, TangoTek, Keralis, and FalseSymmetry. EthosLab was originally was going to be a double agent, but once the war heated up, he decided to fall firmly on the side of the Resistance and just start feeding false information to GoodTimesWithScar for diamonds. They have only had one main base, but have used several smaller builds to support these.

Founded by VintageBeef with the creation of Podzol Plus (shop that sells items related to podzol) and joined by Hypnotizd. They disagree respectfully with both the Mycelium Resistance and Hermitcraft Environmental Protection. The third member is a brown Mooshroom with a changing name. They have only needed one base and are often seen to ask "What about podzol?" when placing podzol.

Stage 1: Escalation[]
Road Taxes[]
The Road Taxes were introduced by mayor GoodTimesWithScar to fund the road building competition.
Mycelium Patches[]
Grian initially started the Mycelium Resistance as a joke, saying he disliked how the grass looked but this quickly grew out of hand as he started adding more patches which eventually resulted in him recruiting people in the The Barge. Hermits could buy mycelium at a price of 2 diamonds per stack, after which they would fall down into the first Mycelium Resistance Headquarters, where they would place a sign and their head to become a recruit. Grian managed to recruit a team to take part, spreading mycelium across the shopping district to counteract GoodTimesWithScar.
There are many discovered resistance mycelium patches, including one in front of Bernie the Leaf Master, and one next to The Grian Emporium, and one other in Rendog's mesa area near Bigger Logz Inc. There are also patches around the Main Street, GoodTimesWithScar's Landscaping Shop and the HEP headquarters. Grian also made a bridge of mycelium going over Main Street connecting the two passages, which was to be called the Mycelium Highway. however, this bridge was later removed by Xisumavoid.

The replacement throne built by MumboJumbo and Iskall85 after the diamond throne was taken
Hermit Challenges and the Mycelium Throne[]
After MumboJumbo noticed that Grian had burnsticks all over The Barge and the G-Mansion, he and Iskall85 teamed up to give Grian a bunch of challenges through Hermit challenges. In retaliation, Grian gave them an UNO Reverse Card as the "present for a Hermit" challenge with many new challenges for the pair to do, one of which being to replace the Diamond Throne with mycelium. MumboJumbo and Iskall85 did so, storing the diamonds in a KGOOMR. (Keep-Grian-Out-Of-My-Resources)
Stage 2: The War[]
Commencement of War[]
The first sign of conflict came when Grian began replacing grass with mycelium in the shopping district. According to him, the mycelium will spread if it isn't removed. Xisumavoid removed the mycelium thinking it came from the big patch under his shops, but Grian added more.
Soon, GoodTimesWithScar sent Hermitcraft Environmental Protection agents to extract the mycelium. The mycelium then spread out of the HEP Agents' control and spread beyond the protective border put up, thanks to Grian, who helped by placing more mycelium blocks. Afterwards, the HEP Agents were fired by GoodTimesWithScar for failure to contain the mycelium.
More people bought mycelium at the Barge, fell down into the base and were recruited into the ranks of the resistance. This included (in order) ImpulseSV, Rendog, EthosLab and XBCrafted. The latter later recruited iJevin, who had been collecting resources for the resistance beforehand. They relocated to a grander but more secretive headquarters.
War was officially declared by Mayor GoodTimesWithScar after the stealing of the Diamond Throne. He removed the mycelium throne and made a memorial for the throne where Hermits placed flowers and gifts. He also found the vault that held the Diamond Throne, but was unable to open it. GoodTimesWithScar called the Hermitcraft Environment Protection, and recruited members to fight back the mycelium. BdoubleO100 and Cubfan135 automatically joined the H.E.P. because they were associates of the Mayor. In addition, FalseSymmetry, TangoTek, Keralis and Xisumavoid were also recruited.
Spying on HEP[]
Grian and ImpulseSV spied on the HEP when they were having a meeting and collected information about the members. All was well until Grian, wearing a BdoubleO100 head, lost balance and fell off the roof of the HEP HQ in front of the HEP members, and pretended that he and ImpulseSV were looking for Decked Out boxes. To get out of trouble, they retreated back to their HQ with the information.
Trapped fake entrance[]
ImpulseSV tricked Cubfan135 into a trap, under the guise of the Mycelium Resistance headquarters. When Cubfan135 pressed the button supposedly guarding the entrance, he fell into a pit of zombies and died to a message of Cubfan135 was slain by The Resistance.
This worked against the resistance, however, as Cubfan135, who previously had been lenient towards the resistance's acts, decided to join the HEP and enforce the mayor's laws against mycelium.

TangoTek rides a pig held by GoodTimesWithScar while reclaiming the diamond throne
Reclaiming the Diamond Throne[]
GoodTimesWithScar, along with TangoTek (dubbed "The Hacker"), overrode the KGOOMR inside of the ventilation system. They sneaked past the redstone contraptions, suspending a saddled pig above the pressure plates and riding it into the KGOOMR, retrieving the Diamond Throne. The pig died from fall damage, but the two managed to steal the throne and restore it to the Town Hall.

Sheep sent into the shopping district by Grian and Rendog
Sending in the Sheep[]
Grian and the scientist Rendog produced a breeding machine to create an army of sheeps and mooshrooms, introducing them to the Shopping District. The sheep rapidly made work of the grass, allowing the mycelium to spread their spores more freely. The operation turned out to be a massive success, as a significant area of the Shopping District was covered in mycelium. The HEP organized with a pack of wolves to kill the sheep, but the damage had already been done.
Buying the Diamond Throne[]
When GoodTimesWithScar announced that the HEP would hand out 5 diamonds for 2 stacks of mycelium, Grian called an emergency meeting and told the resistance that "Scar foolishly decided to buy 2 stacks of mycelium for 5 diamonds", and that they could take diamonds from the throne. After demolishing a Mooshroom Island to replenish another Mooshroom Island (Something Rendog didn't approve of) they took down the Diamond Throne.
However, Grian claimed that ImpulseSV was the true hero of this operation as he had collected 36 shulker boxes full of mycelium already and they took all the Diamonds on the throne and hid them at their secret base vault. They replaced the blocks with mycelium blocks and shulkers filled with mycelium.

GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 dying after entering the booby trapped vault of the fake HQ
Attempted Theft of the Diamond Throne[]
After the Diamond Throne had been bought, GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 tried to infiltrate the Mycelium Resistance HQ by entering through the bubble elevator that sent the Resistance Agents to the surface. However, according to Grian, the bubble elevator was once linked to the original HQ, but after use it was sealed, and a mock tunnel system was created to mislead the HEP.
GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 then decided to use the bubble elevator to go up to the fake base that ImpulseSV made and changed the fake base a bit to make it look up to date. Later, when the HEP went into the fake base, they found the "vault" and tried to get the Diamond Throne back. Unfortunately for them, the vault only contained one diamond block that said "BANG!" and TNT minecarts dropped from the ceiling, instantly killing them. The only downside for the Resistance was that they had to put the real member board, leading GoodTimesWithScar to announce that "they were all wanted members of Hermitcraft".

Creating the HEP Factory[]
Despite the loss of the throne, GoodTimesWithScar and the HEP renovated a MooPop Factory on the nearby island as a second base of operations. Cubfan135 improved on this by creating a giant door, vault as well as more security systems. GoodTimesWIthScar provided most of the decorations and architecture. TangoTek built the Mycelium Destroyificator to get rid of the large amounts of mycelium they had but in the end, it didn't work. Meanwhile, the HEP tower was improved and given rooms.

The lols, as seen in Grian's episode 50
Buying half the shopping district[]
Later, Grian, ImpulseSV, and EthosLab went and returned all the diamonds they took from the Diamond Throne, with a catch: They would use the diamonds to buy half of the shopping district, making note that they would "cover it up... soon." To pay, they wrote 'LOL' with the diamond blocks all around the town hall until GoodTimesWithScar came and cleaned it all up and rebuilt the diamond throne for the third time, excluding the back of the diamond throne and leaving a single "lol" in the roof of the building.
Infiltrating the HEP Headquarters[]
Stressmonster101, Head of Investigation, saw a sign on the Communications Board about HEP's Book of Secrets. She broke in, but got killed by potions and arrows. After the dispensers ran out, she read to book, and found coordinates for a stash of diamonds and grass that HEP had hundreds of blocks away and flew there only to find a chest with grass spelling "LOL" a few emeralds and a single diamond.
Infiltrating HEP Factory[]
Upon buying half of the shopping district, the resistance found out that they didn't have enough mycelium to cover up the shopping district, they went to infiltrate the HEP Factory. As Grian noted, he was waiting for the HEP to finish the build so they could infiltrate it. When the three (Grian, ImpulseSV and EthosLab) arrived at the front door of the Factory, they attempted to guess the key to the door, throwing in a helmet and a map of MumboJumbo's face. When it didn't work, they went in from the top. The attempt went half successfully, Grian fell through and died, losing a Totem of Undying.
After regrouping and going through a fireplace, They discovered a conveyor belt with a minecart going back and forth, letting Grian to wonder whether the HEP built a factory or a theme park. Upon going down, they found what seemed to be an abandoned Moo-Pop factory. After a few mishaps, including a diamond clad skeleton with a flame bow (Which cost ImpulseSV his totem of undying), several potion dispensers and a vibe check that spewed spectral arrows at the user, which would make them easier to see, the three of them found a fake HEP Factory Key.
Upon depositing it into a barrel to open the vault, a speed boosted ravager fell from the ceiling and started to chase Grian, ImpulseSV, and EthosLab. After dying several times (7, 2, and 1 times respectively) to the ravager they finally trapped the HEP Security Ravager in a corner and continued on. In the vault, there was another vault (Hence the name Vaultception). After following the signs and placing the HEP's best block, grass, onto lime concrete, it opened another door, leading to a room with lots of grass, and a single block of mycelium, with a sign beside it saying "The Last Mycelium".
Grian mined the mycelium, and there was a loud boom. When the three of them rushed out, they saw a lot of mycelium on the floor. The machine was originally intended for the mycelium to be destroyed in front of their faces, but the redstone malfunctioned and the trio got the mycelium they came for. Upon leaving, Grian left a sign with the words "This MooPop factory tour SUCKED! thanks for the myc tho" Later, all three of them noted that although they got the mycelium, the HEP deserved a point, as they died several times trying to get it (10 times in total).

HEP headquarters made to look like a llama
Turning the HEP headquarters into a llama[]
Grian, seeing that llamas and the HEP base look alike, decided to finish the job and give the HEP base a llama face.

Finding the Second Mycelium Resistance HQ[]
As of the result of Operation Gopher initiated by GoodTimeWithScar, and of the tunnel bores made buy the newly joined MumboJumbo, the HEP succeeded in discovering the well-hidden Mycelium Resistance Base. Grian, the only one in the base at the time, heard the explosions made by the tunnel bore, immediately panicked, dropping all secrecy and yelling in the chat "PANIC!", before pressing the emergency meeting button.
The members which were online at that time, (Rendog, ImpulseSV, EthosLab, and xBCrafted) rushed to collect the mycelium recovered from the H.E.P. Factory, with EthosLab blocking off the hallway to the storage room. BdoubleO100 of HEP attempted to press the emergency meeting button to chase the members back but unfortunately for them it was used once already, meaning that it wouldn't work until the ender pearls were restocked. The members of the resistance quickly ran through the exit, a tunnel under ODEA leading to the sea, before regrouping in a secret room in the Town Hall, located behind the "clock" on the roof.
After having a quick meeting regarding the mycelium and their base, the members online at that time went to cover half of the shopping district as they promised with mycelium they recovered from the Moo-Pop Factory. Later, Grian called GoodTimesWithScar and asked him if he knew where the proper entrance to the base was. After making a wrong guess about the entrance, Grian led him to Stressmonster101's shop tree, revealing the entrance by standing on top of the shulker box and falling through. Grian later told everyone that the fake base was hilariously about 20 block beside the real one.

The Third Mycelium Resistance HQ[]
After losing their first HQ to HEP, the resistance members agreed to not hide anymore and to build a new HQ. Grian was the one that build the outer shell of the base, making it a giant mushroom house. And after showing it to Impulse, they both agree that it needs to be trapped, and decide to recruit Docm77 to the resistance by building a Goat-signal. Docm77 joined the resistance and they have a meeting to discuss their new plans, they end up agreeing that they need to go on the offensive more, and leave Docm77 to do the defending of the Headquarters. xBCrafted does some interior decorations while Docm77 traps the Headquarters.
Infiltrating the Third Mycelium HQ[]
A couple episodes after making the new mycelium resistance HQ, Grian decided to meme the HEP HQ by turning the side facing the shopping district into a llama face. Ready to get revenge for every win the mycelium resistance had, BdoubleO100 and GoodTimesWithScar decided to enter the recently defended Mycelium Resistance HQ 3.0. Smelling the trap from a mile away, they decided to enter after hiding their valuables. This turned out to be a mixed blessing as the zoglin trap only dropped one zoglin due to a leftover netherrack block. GoodTimesWithScar stood back for a bit as the zoglin went after BdoubleO100, and the vexes ignored him until he started dealing with the evokers using a netherite hoe (finding out it was a terrible weapon in the process). Eventually, every mob was dealt with, and BdoubleO100 starts setting up the traps as well as the cage to contain the Mycelium Resistance. Later, Docm77 presses the emergency meeting button to gather all the Mycelium Resistance in their base for discussions about security, activating the trap. After a bit of talk about allergies and Hermitcraft law with GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100, the Resistance escapes to meet up in the HEP HQ for discussions about ending the turf war, leading into the Minigame War.

Stage 3: Minigames[]
For more details, see Turf War Minigames
The Turf War Minigames are a series of minigames built by each member of the Hermitcraft Environmental Protection or Mycelium Resistance, in which the winning team must agree to any wagers given to them.
The Mycelium Resistance won the Turf War Minigames with a score of 6–3, meaning they won the whole turf war altogether.
Deaths[]
This war did not have much open combat, as teams sneak around and try to gather intelligence.
- Death: CubFan135 (HEP). Killed by ImpulseSV (Mycelium Resistance) ImpulseSV made a false entrance to the Mycelium HQ, and CubFan135 was killed by zombies named The Resistance.
- Death: GoodTimesWithScar (HEP). Killed by ImpulseSV/Grian (Mycelium Resistance) GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 tried to find the Mycelium HQ and found the diversionary one. He tried to steal the diamonds from the throne and it turned out to be a trap, as he and BdoubleO100 were blown up.
- Death: BdoubleO100 (HEP). Killed by ImpulseSV/Grian (Mycelium Resistance). He tried to find the Mycelium HQ with GoodTimesWithScar, but ended up getting blown up with him.
- Death: BdoubleO100 (HEP). Killed by Grian (Mycelium Resistance). When he lost his BdoubleO100 head, Grian had to kill him to get another one.
- Death: Grian x 7 (Mycelium Resistance). Killed by Cubfan135 (HEP). When they entered the factory, he, ImpulseSV and EthosLab were attacked by a buffed security ravager. The ravager spawn-camped him, resulting in seven deaths.
- Death: ImpulseSV x 2 (Mycelium Resistance). Killed by Cubfan135 (HEP). Was with Grian and EthosLab when they were attacked by a buffed ravager. He was killed second.
- Death: EthosLab (Mycelium Resistance). Killed by Cubfan135 (HEP). Was with Grian and ImpulseSV, they were attacked by a buffed ravager. He was slain first out of the three.
- Death: BdoubleO100 x 10 (HEP). Killed by Docm77 (Mycelium Resistance). When BdoubleO100 and GoodTimesWithScar went to go check out the new Resistance HQ, they triggered Docm77's security system, releasing evokers and a zoglin.
- Death: GoodTimesWithScar x 4 (HEP). Killed by Docm77 (Mycelium Resistance). GoodTimesWithScar went with BdoubleO100 to the new Resistance HQ and got trapped by the same security system.
- There were many other deaths during the Turf War Minigames, notably:
- Death: Docm77 x 3, Rendog x 3 (Mycelium Resistance), GoodTimesWithScar x 4, BdoubleO100 x 4 (HEP). In TangoTek's minigame, Escape the Mycelium, to get to the next level you had to die. GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 also died another time due to GoodTimesWithScar setting off fireworks attempting to kill a creeper.
- Death: In EthosLab's minigame, the Rip Zone, one objective was to gather player heads; thus many people were killed on both sides.
- Death: Grian (Mycelium Resistance), Keralis (HEP). Docm77's minigame, A Maze, involved Zoglins to kill the contestants.
