Balloons over the Hermit Town.
The Balloons were decorative structures built by PearlescentMoon in season 9 as part of Docm77's diamond tower prank and later in vandalizing Royal Banners.
History[]
Support for the tower[]
During The Diamond Tower Race, Docm77 extended his tower to the side in such a way as to block the possibility of expanding the PearlescentMoon's tower. However, she found that the side arm could not hold up without support. So she broke the fragment that was in the way of her tower, and supported the remaining part with four balloons (green, pink and two light blue).[1]
TNT launcher explosion.
One of the balloons was damaged in the explosion of the TNT cannon. Docm77 was trying to stop Grian, GoodTimesWithScar and PearlescentMoon from connecting their towers and winning the Race, so he built a TNT launcher on his tower, right next to the last, light blue balloon. The second attempt to launch due to an unknown error caused the cannon to explode, destroying a section of Docm77's tower as well as the fences that formed the string of the balloon.[2]
After The Diamond Tower Race ended, Docm77 dismantled his tower, but left behind balloons that remained in the air over the Hermit Town[3] for several months.
Banner decorations[]
Later, during King RenTheKing's Reign, PearlescentMoon openly resisted the crown with pranks and vandalism. One of these actions was to remove the word "not" from "Thou shall not party" banner and change it to "Thou shall party". To add party decorations, she moved her balloons and stuck them above this banner.[4]
When Rendog was no longer King, he started cleaning up his royal banners. He also removed the balloons in the process.[5]
Trivia[]
- With all the towers removed, the balloons were one of the last remnants of The Diamond Tower Race, along with Diamond Block Bearded Bros' portals and a hole of unstable ground.
