Open Sesame is a game built by Cubfan135 in his Season 7 pyramid. It forms part of Targét, an area of minigames within his base based around the target block introduced in Minecraft 1.16.
Rules[]
Players are confined to a series of rooms, known as 'stages', which are separated from each other by piston doors. Hermits play by shooting arrows at a target. Successfully hitting the target opens a door behind the player leading to the next stage. After moving to the next stage, players shoot at the same target from the new position. The game can be played as a time trial or as a race against another hermit. Game difficulty can be adjusted by turning the page on a lectern, which affects how precise an arrow needs to be to score.
One Stack Challenge[]
In the One Stack Challenge, players must attempt to complete as much of the course as possible on maximum difficulty with only one stack of arrows.
Tournament[]
Cubfan135 hosted a tournament to see which hermit could get to the farthest stage in Open Sesame. The winner would receive a creeper head. VintageBeef was the event winner.
