Octagon is a shop chain in Season 8 run by Docm77 and Rendog, selling Shulker Boxes and wood. The main store will be located on an island off the west coast of the continent. The products are produced in the Rendoc Industrial District and Docm77's Shulker farm.

Pop-Up Shops

Before the main shop could be opened, many Hermits were sending requests to buy shulker boxes to Docm77. Before Rendog could open the main store, Docm77 opened smaller pop-up spider stores around the server.

Inside one Shulker Box is a piece of paper telling to contact Docm77 as you have won a competition and won an as of yet unknown prize.

Octagon Island

Octagon Island is where the main Octagon shop is located. The first structures here where a deepslate pillar with the Goatem Pole flag on it, and a ‘Mega Tank Log Shop Thingy’, a large tank that doubles as a log shop, similar to Rendog's businesses in previous seasons.

The main Octagon shop was later constructed, resembling a huge octagonal walker on a dead coral reef, with a large tower-walker similar to Power Node One that was unveiled during a community event. The shop is accessed by means of a true octagonal nether portal created by Docm77 using an update suppressor, and there is an also a tower containing the Octagon meeting room as well as all of the profits of the Octagon, in diamond/derpcoin block form.

In addition, there is supporting infrastrucuture left over from the grand opening, including a large sign reading 'OCTAGON', firework-launching equiptment, a lightning generator similar to the one in Power Node One, and a large viewing platform.

Pranks

In response to aggressive marketing in Boatem Town, members of Boatem Inc. constructed a 'laggem pole' by dropping boats all over the octagon. However, they bought the wood from Octagon itself so it was considered a win by Docm77 and Rendog. Despite this, they plan to take revenge in future.

The Truth

In Rendog's PoV of the Season 8 Finale, it was revealed the Octagon was a part of the larger plan of the Hermatrix to prevent the Nothing Virus. The Octagon, referred to as Antivirus Octagon in the opening, acted like a scanning software, seeking out the location of the trojan virus. This is what triggers the Moonatrix Octa Protocol to initiate, leading to the events of the end of Season 8, quarantining the virus and saving the minds of all the Hermits plugged in.
