The Monolith is BdoubleO100's starter base in Season 9. It is located in the most southern part of Hermit Town. At some point, the monolith was also temporarily inhabited by Rendog (in King's Tower) and EthosLab (in basement).
BdoubleO100 later built his main base in the form of Cyberpunk Temple next to the Monolith and connected the two buildings with a bridge.
Description[]
Exterior[]
The monolith is a high tower mostly made of diorite, standing on an elevated ground in a birch forest. From the bottom, the building is covered with moss and leaf vines that reach almost half of its height. The top part of the Monolith is a bit wider.
Two wooden platforms protrude from the walls (almost half the height and almost at the top), with access to the interior. They serve to make it easier to get to the upper floors with Elytra.[1]
Originally, there was only an irregular platform at the top. Later, however, BdoubleO100 added a castle tower with darker blocks and a steep roof there.
Interior[]
The interior is divided into many floors. Each of them consists of one room, part of which is occupied by a spiral staircase (excluding the top floor).
Level | Image | Description |
---|---|---|
The King's Tower | TBA | Additional structure in the shape of a castle tower with a steep roof. Built specifically for Rendog, before he became King. It was the place of his coronation and later the throne room, until he moved to the Crastle. |
Level 11 (RenDog's bedroom) | Formerly, the Monolith roof and additional storage space. Later, it was covered by the tower, making it a room converted into Rendog's bedroom.[2] | |
Level 10 (storage room) | Second storage space with access to an external platform. | |
Level 9 (kitchen) | The room decorated as a kitchen. It's unknown if it serves any function. | |
Level 8 (library) | Space for Enchanting Table, decorated with bookshelves. Later, a door to the bridge that connects the Monolith with the Temple was also added there.[3] | |
Level 7 (cooking room) | The room equipped with furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers. | |
Level 6 (exit) | The room decorated with shelves, with an exit to an external platform. | |
Level 5 (botany room) | Storage space for plants, also equipped with potions equipment. | |
Level 4 (armory) | Against the wall stands a pedestal with three armor stands. BdoubleO100 had ImpulseSV enchant three leather armors, which he then colored in the corresponding colors (blue for water enchantment armor, yellow for fire protection armor, and grey for blast protection armor). However, due to the enchant effect, the colors were not clearly visible.[4] | |
Level 3 (bedroom) | The entire room is occupied by a blue double bed with canopy. | |
Level 2 (storage room) | A cramped room filled with crates and barrels. | |
Level 1 (entrance) | Entrance to the Monolith. The room has a small storage space and a secret exit to the basement.[5] |
Basement[]
Room | Image | Description |
