iJevin's Slime Pit, or the Slime Abyss, is iJevin's main base for Season 8. Built near GeminiTay, Stressmonster101, and FalseSymmetry's Swamp Lump area, it is located in the southern marsh portion of the central swamp. To the north is Stressmonster101's Cathedral; to the east is BdoubleO100's horse course; to the northwest is FalseSymmetry's red mushroom town.
Places of Interest[]
Starter Slime Pit[]
The Starter Slime Pit is a smaller 6-block deep pit where iJevin began his series in the swamp. The pit has a green stained glass roof with a slime face built into it, and green stained glass walls that showed the swamp water surrounding the pit. The pit has an oak floor, with a staircase leading down to a small storage area and a massive pit with a small ceiling window which was used for Tegg. It used to have iJevin's enchanting station, but that was later moved to the Slime Pit. It also used to have a villager hall (with a zombie named Zombie V2), but that was moved as well.
Enchanted Swamp[]
The Enchanted Swamp is a terraformed swamp area north of the Starter Slime Pit. Using moss, azalea, flowering azalea, big and small dripleaf, glow berries and glow lichen, custom trees with lanterns and spore blossoms, a combination of allium, lily of the valley, and blue orchids, water pools with lily pads, and moss carpet covering glowstone, iJevin transformed the area.
Nether Portal Tree[]
The nether portal mega tree is a large custom tree holding
Slime Shop[]
The Enchanted Swamp connects to iJevin's slime shop shaped like a lime shulker, with a slime instead of a shulker.
Trick or Treat[]
Trick or Treat is a simple minigame located within a pumpkin patch in the Enchanted Swamp. Using a dispenser, the Magical Scarecrow gives a trick or a treat.
The Slime Pit[]
The Slime Pit is a roughly 250 block diameter circle dug all the way down to bedrock, and it took 10.5 hours to dig. The bottom of the pit has a foggy lime glass effect to evoke the slimy nature of the pit, with five layers of lime and green stained glass. The walls use a stone, andesite, cobblestone, tuff, deepslate, and blackstone gradient.
The Central Column[]
The walkways are held up by four pillars on each side of the circle, with a central column in the center. The walkways are made of stone, stone bricks, cracked stone bricks, and mossy stone bricks. The central column has four arches curving up towards a floating central slime ball that is powering the base.
Villager Wing[]
The northern villager wing holds iJevin's village hall, based off of a cathedral. Using blackstone and deepslate, the tall, arched roof holds librarian swamp villagers trading a variety of books.
Storage Wing[]
The southern storage wing holds iJevin's storage hall, using the same cathedral design as the villager wing. The storage wing holds 200-chests.
Smelting Wing[]
The western smelting wing, using the same cathedral design, holds iJevin's massive super smelter, and leads to a large kelp and bamboo farm that can be used for fuel.
Farming Wing[]
The eastern farming wing, using the same cathedral design, holds a sugar cane farm, a carrot farm, and a honey farm.
Pickles' Aquarium[]
The entire Slime Pit has a 4-block wide aquarium going all the way around the center the circle with glass walls. This is the home of Pickles, iJevin's pet axolotl.
History[]
The Starter Base[]
After a sketchy meeting with Evil Xisuma, iJevin was turned from his typical blue slime skin to a traditional Minecrarft green slime skin. Feeling slime-y, iJevin moved into the southern portion of the central swamp and built his starter slime pit in Season 8: Episode 1 where he and his pet axolotl Pickles could live. In Season 8: Episode 4, he added a villager hall, and in Season 8: Episode 5, EthosLab came to visit to talk about Tegg. Later, after finding the Tegg in GeminiTay's base, iJevin hid it in the pit below his villager hall, behind a secret piston door in a maze filled with trapdoors. FalseSymmetry found it in her Season 8: Episode 6.
Starting the Slime Pit[]
In Season 8: Episode 7, iJevin dug out the area where the pit was going to go. Then, he built a circle out of dirt and filled it in with sand, removing the water. This was the start of the Slime Pit. He also demoed the foggy glass effect for the floor and the wall gradient. By Season 8: Episode 8, he had started digging the pit. In Season 8: Episode 9, he completely dug the pit. He then added the foggy lime glass layers at the bottom. In Season 8: Episode 12, iJevin covered all the walls with the gradient.
Enchanting the Swamp[]
In Season 8: Episode 11, iJevin enchanted the northern swamp with moss, azalea, and glowstone lights. In Season 8: Episode 12, he also added custom trees to the mossy swamp, and in Season 8: Episode 13, he added more spore blossoms and water. He connected his slime shop to the Enchanted Swamp in Season 8: Episode 14. In Season 8: Episode 20, he added a pumpkin patch with a trick or treat station into the swamp.
The Walkways and the Halls[]
In Season 8: Episode 14, iJevin built the pillars and central column, and connected the walkway to the four sides of the circle. He then moved all his items and the enchanting station from the Starter Slime Pit to the center of the central column. In Season 8: Episode 16, he built the northern wing based off of a cathedral, and brought the villagers from the Starter Slime Pit into their new hall. In Season 8: Episode 17, he added the slime ball powering the base in the center. In Season 8: Episode 19, ImpulseSV traded coal at the base, and then iJevin built the southern villager wing. In Season 8: Episode 20, iJevin added the spikes around the top of the base. In Season 8: Episode 21, he planned his smelter hall and kelp farm, in Season 8: Episode 22, he added the smelters and a bamboo farm, and in Season 8: Episode 23, he designed the kelp farm.
Final Touches[]
In Season 8: Episode 22, iJevin built Pickles' Aquarium. In Season 8: Episode 23, he discovered an orange Among Us bean at the base of his central column, whom he promptly removed. Later that episode, he built the nether portal tree in the Enchanted Swamp. In Season 8: Episode 24, he discovered an upside-down Padllama advertisement from PearlescentMoon, whom he also promptly removed. Later in the episode, he builds the sugar cane farm and finishes the kelp farm. In Season 8: Episode 25, he adds the carrot and honey farms.
The Moon[]
After noticing the Big Moon in Season 8: Episode 24, iJevin built a slime-scope on top of the slime ball powering his base. The slime-scope needs a base layer of slime (for ultimate slimage), two lime glass blocks (for ultraslime magnification), surrounded by glass panes (for maximum something), three more slime blocks (for maximum slimage), four magic amethyst crystals (for power), and one slime ball (for maximum slime magnification). In Season 8: Episode 25, he finds Cubfan135's warning outside his nether portal tree.
In iJevin's Season 8: Episode 26 finale, he builds a slime-powered rocket, covered in diamonds and netherite blocks, on top of the floating slime ball in the Slime Pit, and flies away to escape the falling moon. This was the last time the Slime Pit was seen.
Trivia[]
- At the base of the central column, there are two lime shulker boxes full of rockets.
