Hypnotizd's Towers, or Hypnotizd's Forest Base, is Hypnotizd's main base for Season 2. It is one of two megabases built near New Hermiton (the other being Sl1pg8r's Ribbon). To the north and northeast is the desert section of the horse track; to the east is the open area section of the horse track; to the southeast is Skyzm's Half-Pipe; to the south is New Hermiton; to the southwest is iJevin's Farm; to the west and northwest is the mountain section of the horse track.
Places of Interest[]
The Towers[]
At each corner of the square base there is a four-story stone brick octagonal tower with birch floors and a black beacon beam shooting up from the floor. These towers are connected by birch slab walkways around the square of water.
The Grass Platform[]
A circular platform of glass in the middle of the water square. In the center of the platform is the top of a solid black glass pillar coming from bedrock. The platform has eight birch slab walkways going to the towers and the walkways between the towers. A ring of redstone lamps surrounds the water square which sits on a sandy floor. By the release of the world download, only half of the platform was covered in grass; the rest was still dirt. A large white wool HELLO sign greets visitors, and Xisumavoid's cactus shop is parked above the black glass next to the ABBA chest. A southwestern staircase leads down to the deeper floors.
Storage Floor[]
The floor below the top grass platform is a circular room with a grass floor a large storage system next to a super smelter.
Farming Floor[]
The floor below the storage has a grass floor two pens for mooshrooms and pigs. In the center of the room is a small tunnel through the black glass pillar leading to a descending ladder.
Slime Floor[]
Below the grass platform is a massive cylindrical room with stone brick walls and smooth stone floors. The black glass pillar stops at five beacons, located next to a southwestern slime farm.
Stables[]
On the southwestern cliff are seven stables and the nether portal leading to the base.
Villager Breeder[]
North of the northeast tower is a deep pit with a large area with a villager breeder, a sugarcane farm, and a wheat farm.
History[]
The Towers Rise[]
Before Season 2: Episode 18, Hypnotizd first lived in a house in Old Hermiton, then his Flatland area near the Pet Cemetery, and finally in a house in New Hermiton. In Episode 18, he moved to the forest north of New Hermiton, marking the center of his base with a dirt pillar. The majority of the northern portion of the base was in a lake, so he began building filling in the northwest corner with dirt. In the northwest corner, he marked out a circle of birch with a 21-block diameter. He then began building the stone brick wall of the octagonal tower. By the end of the episode, he had marked out the first floor of the tower. In Season 2: Episode 19, he built the 51-diameter circular grass platform around the dirt pillar at the center of his base. He also marked the southwest tower with a birch circle, first digging out a path through a mountain and then chiseling out the entire mountain obscuring the circle. In the northwest tower, he built a temporary automatic smelter system. In Season 2: Episode 20, he added three more floors to the northwest tower. He also dug out the rest of the mountain surrounding the southwest tower with Sl1pg8r, and built the arched walls for the first floor. He also expanded the grass platform to a 75-diameter circle. He then detailed the northwest tower with oak stairs and cobblestone walls.
In Season 2: Episode 21, he built the other three floors of southwest tower and added grass paths between the two towers and the grass platform. In Season 2: Episode 23, he built the four-stories of the southeast tower, and used the grass platform as a birch farm. In Season 2: Episode 24, he flattened the northeastern mountain after fighting a wither and getting a beacon. In Season 2: Episode 25, he built the basic structure for the northeastern tower. He began filling the entire square between the towers with grass while leaving the grass platform outlined with birch planks. He then began constructing the birch paths between the towers, and completed the paths surrounding the perimeter of the base. He then centered the nether portal and built an extended path to it.
Working on the Center[]
In Season 2: Episode 26, Hypnotizd built the eight pathways from the perimeter to the central grass platform. In the center of the grass platform, he dug a hole down to bedrock and built underground paths to the towers. He added a beacon to the northwest tower. He added black glass to the beacon to prevent him from falling through the beacon hole (before the glass changed the color of the beacon in the 1.8 update). In Season 2: Episode 27, he cleared out all the dirt surrounding the western half of the base and filled it with water on top of a sand floor. At the end of the episode, after fighting more withers, he added all the beacons to the towers, and added the five beacon set-up to the center of the base. In Season 2: Episode 28, he received sand and sandstone from Xisumavoid, and used it for the second half of the water feature. He also organized the temporary storage system in the northwest tower. In Season 2: Episode 29, he added a brewing area to the northwest tower. He also added redstone lamps to the water feature after deciding glowstone didn't look good. He then found mules in the plains biome and brought them back to the base. He also trapped a villager. In Season 2: Episode 30, he walked from his base to experiment with X-ray technology for the ABBA caving event with iJevin. In Season 2: Episode 31, he finished filling the eastern half of the base with water. He also dug an area out under the grass platform and covered the walls with stone bricks. He also built a temporary villager breeder above the grass platform.
Pranks and Digging Deeper[]
In Season 2: Episode 32, Hypnotizd built a stable next to the nether portal in the western cliff. He parked his four mules and three new horses in the stables. In Season 2: Episode 33, Hypnotizd learns that Pungence and Skyzm of the Hermitcraft Construction Company installed increased Fire Protection in his towers by completely flooding them (as well as his stable). He cleaned up the prank, before leaving to prank MumboJumbo. In Season 2: Episode 34, he dug the cylindrical area under the grass platform even deeper, nearing bedrock. In Season 2: Episode 36, he reached bedrock in the cylindrical area. In Season 2: Episode 37, he received a free sample of mushroom stew from iJevin's Soup Shop at his base. He then built a slime farm close to bedrock in the cylindrical area. In Season 2: Episode 38, he covered the bottom of the cylindrical area in smooth stone slabs to prevent spawning. He also bought mooshrooms from iJevin, expecting delivery. In Season 2: Episode 40, he added the top of the large black glass pillar in the center of the grass platform. He also received the mooshroom delivery from iJevin. He ended the episode breeding donkeys at the stable. In Season 2: Episode 41, he added the a stone brick floor above the slime farm, and another floor above that. Between each floor, he build a pseudo-floor in case he wanted to add redstone beneath the floors.
Building the Underground[]
In Season 2: Episode 43, Hypnotizd completely filled the central black glass pillar, and built a staircase leading from the top floor to the bottom. Red3yz commented that the staircase created a narrowing optical illusion. He then brought the villagers down to the bedrock floor, but this basement breeder didn't work, so he brought them back to the surface and created a temporary trading hall on the grass platform. In Season 2: Episode 44, after selling ZombieCleo two mules for a diamond block and two gold blocks, Skyzm wanted to know the price of a mule from Hypnotizd (noting that Monkeyfarm sells mules for 9 diamonds at his Half-Ass shop). He added a grass floor to part of the floor above the slime farm. 50 blocks north of the northwest tower, Hypnotizd dug a large villager breeding area around a mineshaft, located below a 9x6 hole, and moved the villagers into the area. In Season 2: Episode 45, he turned the north pathway of the base into a pumpkin farm and built a massive sugarcane farm near the villager breeder. In Season 2: Episode 48, he built a massive wheat farm near the sugarcane farm by the villager breeder. In Season 2: Episode 49, he got rid of the villager breeder above the grass platform, but left a few for Xisumavoid. He also replaced the birch wood outline from Episode 25 with oak wood. Skzym and Pungence visited, buying a donkey and a mule.
In Season 2: Episode 51, he surrounded the black glass column with oak planks. He also brought the birch walkway design to the underground area. He then changed the storage floor to grass blocks. In Season 2: Episode 52, he built the storage room on the level below the grass platform. In Season 2: Episode 53, he bred villagers to get a blacksmith, and brought pigs and mooshrooms to the farming floor under the grass platform. In Season 2: Episode 54, on the April Fools server, Biffa2001 "blew up" the northwest tower which took 3 hours to build. Biffa2001 also "stole" the four towers and moved them to his base Skyfall. Hypnotizd ended up "pasting" the schematic of his Season 1 Pyramid onto the grass platform. He then "transformed" the pyramid into a diamond, emerald and gold. He also finally filled the one corner of the pyramid that had natural terrain with grass. In Season 1: Episode 55, he moved all his storage from the northwest tower to the storage system.
Finishing Up the Base[]
In Season 2: Episode 56, a brown sheep left the Nether and came to the base. Hypnotizd also realized that the horse track was pretty close to his base. In Season 2: Episode 57, he continued to cover the lower levels below the grass platform in grass. In Season 2: Episode 58, he moved the temporary smelter from Episode 19 to a room behind the storage system below the grass platform. In Season 2: Episode 59, Hypnotizd prepared for his ABBA caving trial against Pungence and Skyzm at his base. In Season 2: Episode 60, he covered the grass platform in the ABBA winnings that he won from the trial. He then kept all his winnings in a chest on top of the black glass pillar. In Season 2: Episode 61, while returning to his base with KingDaddyDMac, he discovered that the grass platform was entirely covered in sand and cactus. This was done by Xisumavoid, MumboJumbo, FalseSymmetry and Zueljin as a demonstration of Xisumavoid and MumboJumbo's cheap sand and cactus. Hypnotizd could keep the sand and cactus for 50 diamonds to Xisumavoid and MumboJumbo, or pay FalseSymmetry and Zueljin 10 diamonds per hour to clean it up. The four of them also parked Walter White's meth lab from Breaking Bad on the glass pillar, and used it as a cactus shop. KingDaddyDMac and Hypnotizd looked over the cactus from the northwest tower.
Hypnotizd's Towers were last seen in Season 2: Episode 62. After FalseSymmetry and Zueljin cleaned up the sand and cactus, the grass began growing back and Hypnotizd left the base to work on his Nether tunnel, leaving the base for good. At some point later, Sl1pg8r and iJevin visited and wrote "HELLOOOOOOO!!!" in big white wool letters on the grass platform, referencing Hypnotizd's classic intro. Xisumavoid also visited and gifted Hypnotizd UHC3 and UHC4 Golden Apple trophies. These visits did not last long, and the grass killed during the desert prank never fully grew back.
