Corruption is Hypnotizd's fourth episode of Season 1. It was uploaded on May 9, 2012.

Plot[]

Hypnotizd starts the video at the spawn village, stating that the video will be different than usual. He talks about how Keralis had found some cave spider spawners, and Hypnotizd and Red3yz went over to help him make them into a farm. While helping, the game crashed. When the server came back, things weren't working properly. There was a lot of lag, and anyone who went towards those spawners crashed. There were a few corrupted chunks in the area, as well as some corrupted chunks nearby the spawn village. Hypnotizd managed to fix the affected chunks using MCEdit.

Hypnotizd then shows some footage of him, Generikb, Topmass, and Red3yz trying to figure out what's going on with the chunks. Generikb puts everyone into creative mode so that they can get a closer view of what's been going on. Generikb states that he's going to switch server hosts because their current host is causing too many problems for the server, and that he's going to reset the server to a recent backup to try and fix the issues. The group continue discussing the issues going on, all completely baffled at the corruption.

After they decide that the current copy of the world is not salvageable, Hypnotizd gets a mooshroom spawn egg, and spawns in hundreds. Red3yz and Topmass take TNT and start blowing up the area. Generikb tells Hypnotizd to go into MCEdit and remove the affected chunks, since he seems the most knowledgeable about the program out of everyone in the call. Hypnotizd then starts flying over the world to try and find more of the corrupted chunks. The group also discusses possible solutions that wouldn't involve having to delete parts of the world they'd already built up.

Hypnotizd then leaves Minecraft and shows off how he actually fixed the world map using MCEdit. He walks the viewers through the steps of removing the corrupted chunks, showing that the map will take a long time to render the corrupted chunks, but will eventually load them, allowing him to remove the affected chunks properly. Initially, the obviously corrupted chunks were removed, but that did not fix the issue. To fix the issue, Hypnotizd had to remove many more chunks around the previously selected chunks. Unfortunately, this did mean that they had lost all of their progress on the cave spider spawner. Hypnotizd does state that he is now making nightly backups, since he can no longer trust the server host to do it properly for them.

Video Description[]

Again, we're having server problems. Thankfully we were able to recover with the help of a third party program called MCEdit (64 bit, 32 would crash).
