Hollow Hills is a horse racing course in Season 8 built by BdoubleO100 and EthosLab. It is located in a plains biome on the Season 8 continent near iJevin's base. It consists of a series of medieval-styled structures built mainly out of prismarine and terracotta.

The track was recreated in Season 9 for the Hermitcraft Charity Livestream.

Gameplay[]

As the course includes obstacles that could cause the death of horses, Hermits breed their own horses. First they choose a horse of the colour they want, then select a horse with a good speed, jump height or health stat. They breed these together to create their racing horse.

Course[]

Once a Hermit passes over the start/finish line, there is a pit stop on the right side of the course, with health potions to their left. If they carry on, the first obstacle is a line of pressure plates which flood the track ahead of them when activated. The track then passes under a bridge and through a small canyon in which one must jump over a series of puddles, then run through a set of gates that are constantly opening and closing, and then jump up a series of platforms.

Here the course splits into two: if the Hermit can hit a target, they take a shortcut which involves jumping across several ponds, or they take the long way around, which includes winding around fence gates and dodging slime blocks. Here the paths join again and head underground through a sinkhole with hay bales at the bottom. They then climb back to the surface, jump across dripleaf platforms, and then along a straightway over the bridge and through the castle.

Scattered around the course are targets which give the hermit arrows of swiftness or slowness if shot.

Trivia[]

  • Octagon provided the prize pool as part of a sponsorship deal which also potentially includes lowering wood prices at their store.
