Note: To see who was active in a specific season, go to the specific season page.

Active Hermits are Hermits that are active in the current seasons of Hermitcraft. They usually stream or post videos on YouTube. Currently, there are 24 active Hermits.

Semi-inactive Hermits are Hermits that have not appeared on the server for at least a month, or have stated they are taking a break for a while. They could also be Hermits that have been whitelisted, but didn't join. Note that this does not mean that they left the server, it could simply mean that they haven't uploaded or streamed recently, or they're taking a break for personal reasons. There is currently one semi-inactive Hermit.

Former Hermits

Former Hermits are Hermits that are no longer active on the server due to various reasons. They are no longer whitelisted on the recent seasons. There are currently 38 of them that once joined the vanilla seasons.

Non-Hermits

Non-Hermits are players that are not fully associated with Hermitcraft. They could be players that joined for a short time for an event or something similar.

Camera Accounts

Camera Accounts are the alternate accounts that the Hermits use to capture timelapses or show different areas of a build. Sometimes Hermits instead use Replay Mod for recording timelapses, though Camera Accounts may sometimes be used when quickly looking at other things in the world.

Timeline of Hermits

Becoming a Hermit

A video explaining how can one join Hermitcraft, with footage from Xisumavoid explaining it.

There is no invite system or joining system in Hermitcraft. Instead, the Hermits themselves vote on if a player should join Hermitcraft, and if all agree, the player is then invited. Even if one Hermit votes against them, the player will not be invited.

To increase the likelihood that one could join Hermitcraft, one can try doing the following (note that this is from the above video):

  • Have a fairly successful YouTube channel/Twitch account and being active in it
  • Have a great reputation in the Minecraft community
  • Has interacted with one of the Hermits

Hermitcraft Banner

The Hermitcraft Banner is an image containing the Hermitcraft Logo and the Minecraft skins of every Hermit, first created in Season 2. It is updated at least once every season to reflect changes in Hermits, their skins, logo design etc. It can be found at top of the Hermitcraft.com website.

TinFoilChef is currently the only former Hermit that remains in the most recent Hermitcraft banner. In newest versions of the banner, spanning from the end of Season 9 to Season 10, his Minecraft avatar is included as a translucent silhouette between letters "F" and "T", above GeminiTay and FalseSymmetry.

Trivia

  • If you combine every Hermit's subscriber count, the total is 45,891,000 combined subscribers.[2]
