Hermitcraft SEASON 8 Day 1 RECAP! is Hermitcraft Recap's first episode of Season 8. It was uploaded on June 21, 2021.

The season was started by MumboJumbo welcoming everyone to Season 8 and welcomed the new hermits GeminiTay and PearlescentMoon to Hermitcraft. The first on-screen death of the Season belongs to Grian who died by an Iron Golem, but TangoTek had died to an iron golem before the recording session started.
Iskall85 and EthosLab decided quickly to travel together and came across a shattered savannah biome where they decided to start building.
Bdoubleo100 and Keralis also decided to move together and soon came across TangoTek. The three of them decided to race each other for who gets a diamond first. First they went mining, but it being unsuccessful they decided to go searching it somewhere else. They ended up selling Glow ink sacs to GeminiTay. After this successful encounter they return to TangoTek's starting area to build their starter bases
MumboJumbo and Grian ventured to the north to find a place to set up camp. On their journey to the north they come up on GoodTimesWithScar swimming through the ocean and bring him along with them. These 3 started a pact and decided that they would build their bases together. PearlescentMoon and ImpulseSV both found the group and decided to join as well. This led to the 5 all basing together in the north, with the center being the Boatem Pole.
