Hermitcraft Easter Egg Hunt is a minigame event built by iJevin in Season 9 in his episode 7. The event started on April 8, 2022.

Goal[]

The goal of the game is to hide Hermit-shaped eggs at the opponents' bases. Opponents then must find the eggs hidden at their base. Any unfound eggs earn the Hermit who hid them points.

Eggs[]

Main equipment of the hunt. Eggs were custom items implemented on the server using Custom Roleplay Data Datapack. The first concept art was made by RubikOwl,[1] but it wasn't used, because Hermits had preferred the 3D eggs. The final 3D model was created by an artist called Danny.[2] iJevin added 19 types of Hermit Eggs (for every participant of Hunt) and one golden egg to the server data packs. Most probably he had textures ready for every Hermit who was in season 9 in case they joined the Hunt.

Golden Egg

The Egg item was based on carved pumpkin, which means it is possible to wear it on a Hermit's head. To place an egg without breaking the texture, there is need to use an item frame (placing it just on the ground changes it back to carved pumpkin) so it can be put on every side of a block and rotated.
