Hermitcraft Charity Stream for Gamers Outreach was an initiative organized by the Gamers Outreach organization cooperating with Hermits and their friends, during the Gamers for Giving charity fundraising event that took place from April 6 to April 7, 2024. The main part of this event was the LAN party held at Eastern Michigan University. Gamers Outreach organization invited all the Season 10 Hermits and their friends there.[1] Ten Hermits appeared there in person: FalseSymmetry, GeminiTay, Grian, ImpulseSV, Iskall85, JoeHills, PearlescentMoon, Skizzleman, TangoTek and Zedaph. Their team was also joined in person by InTheLittleWood and SolidarityGaming. GoodTimesWithScar appeared in the location via a remotely controlled vehicle with an iPad, named RoboScar, because he couldn't arrive there due to health issues.[2] The only one who did not lead the streams was Grian, who took on the role of showrunner. On the place, Hermits were given a separate zone in the arena where the LAN party took place.
Part of this event was an online charity auction, in which the Hermits offered, among others, things related to Hermitcraft, such as TCG Cards, a 3D print of The Deep Frost Citadel, the Scarland Art Book, and an IRL bundle of 12 Bamboo.
During that weekend they organized many activities, both virtual and physical, which was streamed by participants on their many livestreams. They also visited the Hermitcraft server, where they organized a tour for InTheLittleWood and SolidarityGaming on the Season 10 world, and built a monument for the signs that were bought by donors during the final push toward the goal.
In total they raised 967,739.35 USD during the event.
Event summary[]
Plans and Preparations[]
A few months[3] before April 2024, Hermits were invited by Gamers Outreach organization (with which they had collaborated earlier during a previous Charity Livestream in 2022) to take part in the LAN party during Gamers for Giving 2024 at Eastern Michigan University. The invitation was addressed to all Hermits from Season 10 (ongoing or planned at that time) and their friends.[1] The proposal was accepted by them.
The Hermits who confirmed their appearance at the event were: FalseSymmetry, GeminiTay, Grian, ImpulseSV, Iskall85, JoeHills, PearlescentMoon, Skizzleman, TangoTek and Zedaph. They also invited InTheLittleWood and SolidarityGaming to join them on the Hermitcraft team. GoodTimesWithScar also intended to come, but due to health reasons he was unable to. The organizing team enabled him to participate in the event remotely via a remotely controlled vehicle with an iPad.[2]
For a few months,[3] Hermits were planning the event during meetings. The details of these preparations are not known. PearlescentMoon had to stay awake late to attend these meetings due to time zone differences. At one of the meetings, they worked together on a design of their first day schedule, to be published on X (formerly Twitter).[4]
Announcements[]
First announcement of Hermitcraft Charity Stream for Gamers Outreach.
The first announcement of the Hermits' charity event for Gamers Outreach was posted by GoodTimesWithScar on March 28, 2024.[5] Other Hermits posted their own announcements (or reposted GoodTimesWithScar's) soon after him. Their posts included information about the livestream and also the auction, witch opened that day.
However, no announcement revealed that the Hermits would appear in person at the LAN party. This was caused by the fact that Gamers for Giving was not an event open to the public and to avoid spectators showing up, this information was kept secret until the event.[6]
During few next days Hermits were also informing about the items that they put up for auction. For example: GoodTimesWithScar's Scarland Art Book,[7] PearlescentMoon's painting[8] and TangoTek's 3D print of The Deep Frost Citadel.[9]
The day before the event, they published the schedule of activities for day one of the charity livestreams.[10]
Stream Weekend[]
First Day (April 6, 2024)[]
Saturday's stream schedule.
The first day of event was more organized, with a prepared schedule of activities that was published before the start.[11]
First day activities included:
- Intro with Scar - the beginning part of the event, during which GoodTimesWithScar (from RoboScar) introduced the Hermits and Hermit Friends participating in it, revealed that they are present at the LAN party, he also presented the plan for the first day and informed viewers about the auction. At the end, RoboScar was placed in a cage where he would remain until reaching the milestone.[12]
- Guess the Build - a game in which players (people present in person) were given a piece of paper, prepared by Grian, with a prompt that they have to build in 5 minutes. Then they switch, physically moving to the next computer and the next person must guess what was built, creating a new prompt for the next person to build. The process was repeated until there were four buildings and four guesses for each original prompt. At the end, everyone, one by one, showed the results as the rest gathered behind them. Right before the end they managed to reach the milestone and they could free RoboScar (controlled by GoodTimesWithScar) from the cage, so he could see the results too. The players of Guess the Build in the order of changing positions: GeminiTay,[13] InTheLittleWood, Skizzleman, ImpulseSV, JoeHills, Iskall85, FalseSymmetry, PearlescentMoon. Grian coordinated the course of the game.[14][15][16][17][18][19][20]
- Clumsy Cooking (actually Clumsy Cooking 4) - TangoTek's and Zadaph's attraction where they tried to cook on camera with limits that were drawn periodically.[21][22]
- Minecraft Bingo - a game on a special server, in which players must obtain items from a randomly generated table, within a certain time. They gained points for each item acquired as well as bonus points for a completed row of items in the table. Hermits were paired up for this game and each pair had to play at one computer, while sharing the controls. The pairs: FalseSymmetry and TangoTek, GeminiTay and PearlescentMoon, Grian and SolidarityGaming, Iskall85 and JoeHills, Skizzleman and Zedaph. They played two rounds in total.[23][24][25][26][27]
- Phasmo - GIGS - GoodTimesWithScar, Grian, ImpulseSV and Skizzleman played Phasmophobia together. They managed to play three rounds.[28][29]
- Milestone Surprise
- Hermitcraft - the final activity of the first day was spending some time together on the Hermitcraft Season 10 server. On this occasion Hermits decided to invite InTheLittleWood and SolidarityGaming to join and give them a world tour.[30][31][32][33][34]
Second Day (April 7, 2024)[]
- Building the Monument - Hermits' initiative to put donors' nicknames on the Hermitcraft server, mentioned on the signs on a dedicated structure. For a limited time during the event, every $50 donation guaranteed a place on the sign (4 slots per sign), and every $200 donation guaranteed a special sign (1 slot per sign) with yellow color and glow ink. GeminiTay and PearlescentMoon were responsible for building the monument, while many other Hermits were placing the signs.
- Hot Ones Challenge - real life challenge in which participants tried to eat 10 chicken wings covered in hot sauce (each more spicy than the last). Grian, ImpulseSV, Iskall85, Skizzleman, SolidarityGaming, TangoTek and Zedaph took part in this challenge and later JoeHills and PearlescentMoon joined to try few too (not as a part of the challenge).[35][36][37][38][39]
- Hermitlympics - event on the Zedcraft server, in which 12 Hermits took part (including SolidarityGaming and several Hermits not present in person), divided into four teams: Team Impulse: ImpulseSV, InTheLittleWood, Xisumavoid; Team Skizz: iJevin, Skizzleman, SmallishBeans; Team Tango: JoeHills, PearlescentMoon, TangoTek and Team Zed: SolidarityGaming, Zedaph, ZombieCleo. Their task was to complete 9 mini-games prepared by Zedaph's patrons and score points for the teams.
- TCG Match - match with physical Hermitcraft TCG cards, organized by JoeHills. He prepared all the necessary equipment from the Game Box (but without a board) and three decks: regular starter deck, a deck considered by him to be medium and a deck considered by him to be good. PearlescentMoon agreed to face him in a match, using the good deck against his medium one. The game ended with her victory with a score of 3 to 0. The match was the last attraction of the event broadcast on livestream.[40]

Auction and donations[]
One of the main parts of Gamers for Giving initiative was a fundraiser for GO Carts donated to the hospitals by Gamers Outreach organization. The Hermits joined this initiative by opening an auction and donations, carried out via the Tiltify service, using a joint account: HermitcraftGO.[42] Many Hermits (also those who did not directly participate in the event) put their items up for the auction. These included their more personal things, fan arts, Hermitcraft-related items, as well as items used during Hermitcraft Charity Stream for Gamers Outreach.
The total amount of money (values in USD) raised by Hermitcraft (by viewers and Hermits) during the event:

Trivia[]
- Because the LAN party was a closed event, the Hermits had to hide the fact that they would be there in person to avoid outsiders arriving at the location. Despite this, some people showed up anyway.[6]
- Before the event, Hermits were together at a restaurant, where they were recognized by the manager who had been watching Hermitcraft since Season 5. They took a photo with him, but asked their meeting be kept a secret, because their presence in person at Gamers for Giving had not yet been made public.[155]
- On the first day of the event, Skizzleman lost two of his horses in accidents. It happened during his visits on the Hermitcraft server in breaks between attractions. Lost horses:
- Gluestick - blown up by creeper when Skizzleman wasn't looking at the game because he was busy checking the settings.[156]
- Drumstick - given to Skizzleman by ZombieCleo right after Gluestick's death. For safety, Skizzleman enclosed the new horse in a bunker, which resulted in Drumstick growing up into the blocks and suffocating.[157]
- During the event Iskall85 invited InTheLittleWood to join Season 4 of Vault Hunters SMP, after they get to know each other.[158]
- After the event, many Hermits went to see the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8 in Ohio. After their transportation vans were not available, they rode in a bus with a driver named David. The Hermits have said that they want to keep the trip private, but that it was very meaningful to the development of their offline friendships.[159]
- ImpulseSV and Skizzleman dedicated an episode 89 of their Imp And Skizz Podcast to talk about the Gamers for Giving 2024. They shared their opinions about the event and some behind-the-scenes information.[159]
- JoeHills dedicated most of his episode 16 to the theme Gamers for Giving 2024. He added some clips from his livestreams and included the conversation he had with Cubfan135 and GoodTimesWithScar about the event. He also modified his skin, adding an orange shirt to it as a reference to Gamers for Giving 2024.[160]
