History[]

Finding a Home[]

In Generikb's Season 1: Episode 5, after resetting the world for the second time, he explained his idea to build a hidden base with secret doors, levers, traps, and redstone. His initial Hermit Hubble base, built in Episode 5 near a jungle, ended up being too close to Red3yz' Old Base. Because Generikb wanted to be a true hermit and didn't want his base to be exposed by neighbors, he walked from his Spawn Village boat house, through Keralis' Jungle, and took a boat across the ocean to a new jungle in Season 1: Episode 6. He dug out a small cave at the mouth of the river, and dug another cave for his nether portal, and connected it to the Nether Hub.

Beginning Traps[]

In Season 1: Episode 7, Kiershar shot at Generikb before being kicked out of the jungle, and Xisumavoid was caught snooping around the jungle base. To prevent visitors, he built the Hermit Face as a secret entrance to his base. In Season 1: Episode 8, he added a sign hinting at a hidden button in front of the Hermit Head. He added the Van Halen Drop of Death leading to his base, and the surface vines. He also built a nine-digit combination lock piston door with note blocks that must be played to the tune of Bon Jovi's Combo Lock "Livin' on a Prayer." He then worked on a skeleton spawner farm beneath his base and surrounded it with glass. He also demonstrated the floating sand on vines trick that he planned to use further on in his base.

Skeleton Spawner[]

In Season 1: Episode 9, he decorated the area around the skeleton spawner with jungle wood, soul sand and sandstone, and called it the Hermit Hole. In Season 1: Episode 10, after dying while with Biffa2001 and Keralis, he respawned at the cave at the mouth of the river. In Season 1: Episode 11, he worked on decorating the Hermit Hole and built the skeleton collection area. In Season 1: Episode 12, he worked on the lava for the skeleton collection system. He also dug more area around the skeleton spawner's decoration. He extended his obstacle course and added floating sand on vines parkour, using falling water slices. In Season 1: Episode 14, he continued decorating the area around the skeleton spawner, and built a large iron golem tiki statue with water pouring out of its mouth where farm drops would come from.

Secrets Revealed[]

In Season 1: Episode 15, viewers learn that Xisumavoid and Biffa2001 had found the button opening the Hermit Face, and that Generikb had moved the cave at the mouth of the river after revealing its location in Episode 10, leaving a troll sign in its place. He shows where the button is (on a netherrack block in a nook in the water in the cave behind the Hermit Face). He then thanked many of his donors by dedicating traps to them on signs. He showed a new organic style for the skeleton spawner area by adding glass, and he tore down the iron golem tiki statue. In Season 1: Episode 16, he moved the iron golem statue further towards the wall. In Season 1: Episode 17, he added water to the floor of the skeleton spawner area. He built a melon farm behind the iron golem statue. In Season 1: Episode 18, a glitched dead JoeHills (who died and didn't click respawn) was stuck on the stairs around the Van Halen Drop of Death, and, while trying to save him, Generikb was shot by a skeleton. JoeHills then told Generikb that he had spent 2.5 hours cracking the Bon Jovi Combo Lock and had left a sign on the other side of the door, so Generikb used the lock to see the sign; JoeHills then revealed that he hadn't cracked the lock, but now knew the notes to open it because his dead body (which had been there for 24 hours) was within earshot of the lock (which he had spent 2.5 hours unsuccessfully trying to crack). Generikb then starved to death.

Revamping the Skeleton Spawner[]

In Season 1: Episode 19, Generikb made a water elevator for his skeleton spawner which allowed him to use them in the final trap before the spawner room. He also added a middle finger to the iron golem statue. Viewers also learn that, despite knowing the sounds, JoeHills still hadn't cracked the Bon Jovi Combo Lock. In Season 1: Episode 21, JoeHills built a large @ symbol covering the iron golem statue, and turned the middle finger into a thumbs-down; Generikb shows the "To Safety" passage that connects all the puzzles where JoeHills used an ender pearl to get into the skeleton spawner area. To prevent this, Generikb added piston doors at every "To Safety" intersection, and built a piston door into the new skeleton spawner collection area. In Season 1: Episode 22, Generikb shows the Bon Jovi Combo Lock solution which is actually a separate button hidden in the corner of the room. He also adds more trap donation signs and shows off the wool tiers for his trap gauntlet (beginning with white wool for opening the Bon Jovi Combo Lock). He built a wheat farm near the skeleton spawner. In Season 1: Episode 23, he showed off a trap behind the piston door he built in Episode 21, and modified the melon farm. In Season 1: Episode 24, he added more donation signs, and worked on a pumpkin farm near the melon farm.

Guests at the Base[]

In Season 1: Episode 30, he added more trap donation signs. He also worked on a minecart combination lock for an unseen challenge with SethBling. In Season 1: Episode 31, Biffa2001 almost completely flooded the jungle, which Generikb then cleaned up. In Season 1: Episode 33, JoeHills added a bunch of One Direction signs to the staircase surrounding the Van Halen Drop of Death. Generikb explains the update he wants to make to the skeleton spawner: turning it into the base of a large tree, and adding more wood and less stone. He then blew up a massive area near the skeleton spawner (inspired by EthosLab TNT mining). In the Hermitcraft World Tour in Season 1: Episode 36, Generikb began the tour in his base. In Season 1: Episode 37, Generikb built the storage room in a wing off of the Hermit Hole and added blocks extended by pistons to indicate the chest contents. In Season 1: Episode 38, he started fixing his melon farm and turned his skeleton farm into a jungle tree. In Season 1: Episode 39, he added an ender chest to his storage room and fixed the iron golem statue. In Season 1: Episode 40, he began the base of the large spiral staircase for his Donor Tower, which is designed like the nether with an enchantment table in the center and a nether portal in the wall. In Season 1: Episode 41, Hypnotizd was the first to make it through the entire Hermits Hurtin' Hurdles challenge. At the very end, after being ambushed with skeletons from the water elevator built in Episode 19, Hypnotizd ender pearled into the elevator, swam to the skeleton collection system (where Generikb tried to funnel him into lava), before ender pearling out of the elevator. Generikb then murdered Hypnotizd.

Modifying the Base[]

In Season 1: Episode 43, Generikb decided to change the design of his base, inspired by the new jungle and desert temples introduced in the 1.3 update. He built a sandstone and gold block entrance to the Donor Tower, and a wooden bridge leading to the area just above his nether portal. In Season 1: Episode 44, the bridge caught fire, and Generikb built a tiki-head water-harvesting wheat farm next to the redstone lamp wheat farm. In Season 1: Episode 45, he planned out the Donor Tower. In Season 1: Episode 46, he built a chicken farm near his pumpkin farm. In Season 1: Episode 47, Hypnotizd covered the Hermit Hole in chickens. In Season 1: Episode 49, Generikb built a Chicken City down the river from the Hermit Face with 12 little chicken houses and a fountain in the center. Biffa2001 also held the base for ransom.

The Chicken Oracle[]

In Season 1: Episode 50, he added a felled jungle tree as a bridge leading into it, and built the Chicken Oracle into a cave in Chicken City, who told him to take a tour of IAmSp00n and Jessassin's base. In Season 1: Episode 51, he changed the wall design to include cocoa beans leading to the tiki-head wheat farm. He also visited the Chicken Oracle, who told him to make a pumpkin pie farm. In Season 1: Episode 52, he turned the tiki farm into a carrot farm, using carrots from Jessassin, and worked on a pumpkin pie farm. In Season 1: Episode 53, he worked on the second level of the Donor Tower, adding stone bricks. The Chicken Oracle also told him to collaborate with The Pixel Nerds. In Season 1: Episode 54, the Chicken Oracle told him to hauntify the Spawn Village with JoeHills. In Season 1: Episode 56, the Chicken Oracle told Generikb to kill people on the server. In Season 1: Episode 57, he instead built the TaterQuake potato farm, with a similar tiki head to the carrot farm. In Season 1: Episode 58, after Topmass killed Generikb, he respawned in the Hermit Hole. He then added murder signs to the Donor Tower, claiming his kills on Biffa2001 and KingDaddyDMAC. He also visited the Chicken Oracle who told him to fight a wither to get a beacon. In Season 1: Episode 59, he decorated the walls of the Hermit Hole and the tiki potato and carrot farms. In Season 1: Episode 60, he prepped for the wither fight and fought it in the ocean near his base, but he died twice. In Season 1: Episode 61, he finished the wither fight, and in Season 1: Episode 62, he added the beacon above his skeleton farm.

Shenanigans[]

Later in Episode 62, Generikb began building a slime farm next to the Flaming Hot Hoops of Fire (shown for the first time) in the Hermits Hurtin' Hurdles gauntlet. He also caught Biffa2001 roaming through the tunnels beneath Hermits Hurtin' Hurdles and killed him. In Season 1: Episode 64, Generikb's cat Bootie allegedly caught some fish and tamed ocelots in the jungle area. In Season 1: Episode 66, Generikb added IAmSp00n and Red3yz murder signs to the Donor Tower. In Season 1: Episode 67, he dug out the area above the skeleton spawner. In Season 1: Episode 68, he finished the slime farm. In Season 1: Episode 69, he built a potion room connected to the Hermit Hole. In Season 1: Episode 70, he added a chest to the top of the Donor Tower and an Xisumavoid murder sign. In Season 1: Episode 73, he turned on the Jolicraft texture pack and worked on the Donor Tower, adding a stone brick bridge leading from the Hermit Hole to the central column. In Season 1: Episode 74, Keralis built a large statue of Karate Keralis just in front of the Hermit Face. More importantly, The Agency (Biffa2001 and Xisumavoid) filled Hermit Face and the entire Hermit Hole with fences. Generikb spent two hours axing the fences away, before resorting to lighting them all on fire. In Season 1: Episode 76, Topmass built a man cave in a valley between the Donor Tower and the entrance to the Hermit Hole. Topmass and BdoubleO100 visited Generikb at the Hermit Hole after it had been completely burned. BdoubleO100 offered to build a massive dragon near the beacon.

A Pimped Out Base[]

In Season 1: Episode 79, BlockFortress, Toby and Invis from Topmass' "Pimp My Minecraft" build team massively rebuilt Generikb's base in creative, adding the river ruins at the top of the Hermit Hole, a large derpy light blue dragon on top of the Hermit Hole rock, a mineshaft entrance leading from the river ruins into the Hermit Hole (replacing the iron golem tiki statue), an open-air skeleton spawner nestled on top of a stone brick jungle temple (replacing the custom jungle tree), an expanded cave area with overgrown leaves and detailed rock edges (replacing the pototo, wheat and carrot farms), a new stone brick entrance to the Donor Tower (replacing the sandstone-gold block face), a new stone brick design for the rooms within the Donor Tower, a massive spiral staircase leading to the surface which spirals around the tower, a new potato and carrot farm nestled in a cave accessed by some vines off of the spiral staircase, and a B-Team temple at the top of the spiral staircase with a lava alarm system. Topmass also replaced the Karate Keralis with Cameraman Topmass.

The Ivory Golem[]

In Season 1: Episode 81, Skyzm installed a chicken bomb above the emerald B-Team logo. Generikb then fixed the adjusted skeleton spawner collection area. In Season 1: Episode 82, because IAmSp00n didn't have melons, Red3yz flooded Hermit Hole with chickens instead. Later in the episode, he began building an Ivory Golem made out of quartz where the tiki farms used to be. In Season 1: Episode 85, he finished the Ivory Golem, and added a chair for it. In Season 1: Episode 87, he built the cauldron altar for the Ivory Golem, and added an item sorter. In Season 1: Episode 89, he added fire to the Ivory Golem's hands. In Season 1: Episode 91, he worked on the Ivory Golem item sorter.

Finale[]

In Season 1: Episode 92, now that the Hermits Hurtin' Hurdles was no longer in use because of redstone updates and the new Hermit Hole entrance, Generikb gave the first official tour of the gauntlet, showing the Pain-tacular Maze, the Matchy Matchy of Madness, Can You Smell What Genny's Cooking?, the Iron Golem Tiki Party, and the ??? Lock puzzle that the SethBling combination lock from Episode 30 was connected to.

After completing the Hermits Hurtin' Hurdles, Generikb was last seen in his base fixing his storage system and waiting for the grass to grow.

Trivia[]
