Gamemode 4 was a Survival Multiplayer where they used command blocks to attempt to replicate the feel of modded Minecraft in vanilla. Gamemode 4 was started in May 2015 and lasted through July.[1]

The map was modified using 'Gamemode 4', a popular command block modification created by Accidental Games, Eeasemaps and Bluefire610. The world is 10,000 by 10,000 blocks and has custom terrain. An easy to notice mod is desire lines: when a player walks over a grass block, it gets changed into a dirt block, and if it is passed over again, it is changed into coarse dirt. This feature is intended to mimic real life and would form natural pathways in the game, just like in real life.

They also used a custom texture pack so some materials were different such as the 'Red wood'. The Hermitcraft module was not released to the public. Some exclusive modifications for Hermitcraft were:
