Grian is a Hermit and a YouTuber with over 8,410,000 subscribers.[2] He joined Hermitcraft at the start of Season 6. He also is known for his building skills and his reputation as a prankster. His most viewed video is 50 Ways To Mess With Your Friends In Minecraft, amassing 86,258,185 views (86 million).[3]
Season 6
During Season 6, Grian was part of a group called Architech with MumboJumbo and Iskall85. Throughout the season, he entertained the other Hermits with many games: Tag, the Grian Head Hunt, Hot Potato, and Demise.
Base
In Hermitcraft Season 6, Grian's first season of Hermitcraft, he lived in the middle of the ocean near MumboJumbo's storage system, off the coast of the futuristic district.
Starter Base
He built his starter base by transforming a shipwreck into a Shipwreck in a Bottle. He also built Squidward's House to power his conduit. He created his Hermitcraft bucket list here.
Main Base
Main article: Grian's Monument
Grian's main base, influenced by the futuristic building style, was built next to the Shipwreck in a Bottle above the water. It was a multi-layered tower, with each layer becoming smaller. The first layer was Grian's working area. He also built a meeting room with completely white walls, ceiling and floor (named the "Infinity Room") for the Architechs, a group he founded. Other features included the room devoted to taking away MumboJumbo's moustache, the chest monster that is stuffed with unsorted shulker boxes, a flowery nature area, and a large ring marking area.
Minigames
Grian created and participated in many games during Season 6. He first created the game known as Tag, which was a big deal early-season. However, the tag game eventually ended due to the Prank War and due to GoodTimesWithScar getting horribly ill while he was 'it'.
Grian also created the Grian Head Hunt, where he hid many Grian heads around the server. The aim for the other Hermits was to collect as many heads as possible during November 2018, with a hidden criterion of creating the best vault. This minigame was won by FalseSymmetry due to the many heads she collected but followed closely by Iskall85 due to his impressive vault and the creativity of using a chorus fruit to get in.
He also participated in the Hermitville Build-Off, a build battle to see who could build the tallest house in Hermitville. His contribution involved building a wooden house made of many different rooms. While doing this, he also retaliated against the shenanigans of Iskall85 and GoodTimesWithScar, and made an attempt to block MumboJumbo's rocket from launching. Towards the end of the Build-Off, he also built a dragon on top of his house. Later a winner was announced, but Grian, Iskall85, and GoodTimesWithScar all tied.
One of Grian's other game creations was Hot Potato, a game where players pass around a Hot Potato which also had a rulebook that detailed what the caught player was required to do in the next episode. If the Hot Potato was successfully placed in the player's inventory without them noticing, they had to do the punishment. If the player placing the hot potato was caught, they were required do the punishment they detailed in the book.
Another popular creation was Grian's Elytra Course, a flying obstacle course.
In his Season 6: Episode 93, Grian created Demise, a game in which the last person to die is the winner. Demise started in his next episode, though it took some pushing to kill Rendog and Stressmonster101. In the midst of this, Stressmonster101 set up a trap to dispense a dragon head on Grian with Curse of Binding, but Grian was wearing a helmet, so it didn't work. When he noticed Iskall85 wasn't wearing one, he tricked him into pressing the button, saying the dispensers gave "gifts". Iskall85 later got revenge on Grian with a dragon head himself. Instead of being rivals in the game, they decided to create the Dragon Bros, consisting of them, BdoubleO100, MumboJumbo, and FalseSymmetry.
Afterwards, the pace picked up as many Hermits were killed by traps until Grian became ninth to demise in his Season 6: Episode 102. Grian went on to kill an already dead Keralis and Docm77, the last to demise. Earlier in the season, Grian and Iskall85 made a pact to split the diamonds if one of them won, so Grian got half of the diamonds for himself after Iskall85 won. Iskall85 also gave MumboJumbo some diamonds as he was partly responsible for his demise. Later, Iskall85 realized he hadn't died in a long time, so he auctioned off his death. Grian and ImpulseSV collaborated on a theatrical story/redstone combination that killed Iskall85 with diorite, marking the end of Demise.
The Civil War
Grian had a large part in the beginnings of The Season 6 Prank War and was the leader the G-Team, named because allegedly everyone on the team had a 'G' in their name. Grian designed the G-Team base himself, though he did not do the redstone for it. He recruited MumboJumbo to spy on Team Star as a mole, which MumboJumbo did to arguable success until he was discovered. Grian also proposed the capture-the-flag system for the war, and personally won the war in the last second for the G-Team.
Shops
Grian didn't build many shops over the span of the season. His first shop was the In a Pickle, followed by You Lazy Sod Travelling Market. Later in the season, however, he built many shops under the banner of Sahara and opened a building in the shopping district for. Finally, Grian sold multiple Did You Die boxes over the course of the season as well.
Poultry Man
In Grian's Season 6: Episode 110, he admitted that he was Poultry Man, which was a mysterious figure all season in a chicken head and leather armour, throwing eggs everywhere. After admitting that, he then continued to pretend he wasn't Poultry Man, even in Season 7.
Salmon Ghost
Salmon Ghost was a Hermit with an invisibility potion and a salmon head that appeared in the background when people were recording. In Grian's Season 6 Episode 110, he also admitted that he was the Salmon Ghost.
Season Ending
Grian announced the last episode of Season 6 in Grian's Season 6: Episode 109, saying the season would end the next episode. During his Season 6: Episode 110, he shot a rocket through the hole in his base, going out in style; he had been saying he didn't have much to do anymore. As he left, he said that he had put together a compilation of his favourite moments from each episode. It took up about half of his hour-long episode.

Season 7
Main Base
In Season 7, Grian created a "hobbit hole" starter base (quite like MumboJumbo's base) with round windows and doors using slabs and stairs. He has a future place for some kind of secret area behind his base in the form of a large hollow in the mountain directly behind his base. He announced that he does have ideas for this place. He has built a cactus farm and plans to make a mob farm. He has connected his base to MumboJumbo's base to give away diamond armour, but decided to prank MumboJumbo as well. Grian has also worked on a large manor overlooking the jungle which would have been his main base for the season. To challenge himself, Grian was using two block diagonals in his build. His design is built with 1.16 blocks in mind. However, after the events of HCBBS, Grian got the deed for Zedaph's Cave Of Contraptions, making him the owner. They have since switched back, shown in Grian's Season 7: Episode 70, with Grian using a Zoucher, given to him by TangoTek in exchange for an IOU, to get the deed back. Grian then gave the deed for The Cave Of Contraptions back to Zedaph.
Pranks
He made a prank for GoodTimeswithScar using lots of water and a zombie spawner, which he has now converted into a small XP farm. He also added MumboJumbo's mustache to GoodTimesWithScar's snail/starter base. Grian has also dropped minecarts with chests through the top of MumboJumbo's starter base after creating a minecart link between their bases; originally this was a prank, but it has since been used as a communication system between the two. He has also pranked MumboJumbo's main base by adding a lantern to the base, attempting to be unnoticed as MumboJumbo joined moments before Grian was going to go into the base.
Shops
Grian has made only one shop in Season 7 which is 'The Barge' or Grian Emporium. However, the shop was extremely profitable, and was both one of the most (if not THE most) profitable shop in Season 7 and singlehandedly made Grian one of the richest hermits of the season.
The Door Thief
In his Season 7: Episode 4, Grian went to investigate a sapling with coordinates written on it sent to him by MumboJumbo. He found Hermit Challenges, but did not know what it was. After accidentally initiating himself, MumboJumbo dropped out of a tree and announced Grian was in. They wrote their challenges and Grian, not knowing what to do and told by MumboJumbo that no challenge is a bad challenge, challenged MumboJumbo to 'get good lol', followed by MumboJumbo taking back what he said about bad challenges. Grian was challenged by MumboJumbo to collect other Hermits' doors for the rest of the season. Though he initially seemed hesitant, Grian repeatedly stole the doors of many Hermits, particularly GoodTimesWithScar. He completed this challenge and took doors throughout the full season. He also stated in one video that when he came to steal doors, he stole the water from ImpulseSV's Sea Pyramid Base as he thought it was his door.
Tag 2: Electric Boogaloo
In his Season 7: Episode 7, Grian started a new game called Tag 2: Electric Boogaloo. The objective of the game is to hold on to the tag for fifty hours total in-game. PVP, bribing, and traps are allowed. Grian got fifteen hours of play time in before Iskall85 blew him up with a trap utilizing Grian and MumboJumbo's minecart communication system.
Head Games
Grian joined the Head Games started by ZombieCleo, and was making slow progress until he teamed up with GoodTimesWithScar. Together, they planned Operation Fire-lightning and quickly took first. In Grian's Season 7: Episode 14, they bred a bunch of villagers, then killed them all, resulting in a bunch of heads. Grian and GoodTimesWithScar ended up winning the Head Games and split the diamond blocks. Grian participated in the Arena ending and took the first kill for 1000 points, but nothing more. However, this was enough, and the two gained 16 diamond blocks each as well as a large armour stand creation.
The Button
When MumboJumbo built The Button, Grian swore to gather all of the colours. He destroyed several of the structures built around The Button, but left Docm77's throne because he thought it was cool. He had all the colours as of episode 22, and had promised to take 50% off of the server lag. Grian put all his belts in an infinity gauntlet-like fashion on his skin's right arm, and after getting all of them, he snapped to 'make all the doors disappear'. When the button died, Grian removed his gauntlet and realized he could've done more.
The Mayoral Election
Grian started the mayoral election by deciding that the diamond pile in the Shopping District should be used for something. So, he put up a ton of "Mumbo for Mayor" posters. He then recruited GoodTimesWithScar and BdoubleO100 to build a town hall. GoodTimesWithScar did the terraforming, BdoubleO100 did the interior, and Grian made the exterior. Grian and MumboJumbo teamed up, even though MumboJumbo was unwilling at first, to win the race. They then created Grumbot as a way of getting a plan and also winning. Grian then proclaimed himself the campaign manager and they started trying to win votes. Grumbot then suggested to make Jrumbot as a way of getting people to vote for MumboJumbo. At the end, it Grumbot had a breakdown and started becoming rather upset. Grian then proceeded to vote for GoodTimesWithScar even though he was the MumboJumbo campaign manager. There were no hard feelings, as MumboJumbo also voted for GoodTimesWithScar. They then told Grumbot that MumboJumbo won and sealed him (Grumbot) in a box to be content.
The Upside Down
Grian began the Upside Down with a makeshift Gold Farm where The Upside Down will be, then proceeding to build an upside down replica of his mansion over the lava lake surrounded by a crimson forest. He proceeded to invite BdoubleO100, MumboJumbo, and GoodTimesWithScar, using creations made from grindstones, shulker boxes, and a Grian head. (though Mumbo has not been seen himself)
After BdoubleO100, MumboJumbo and GoodTimesWithScar have moved in, Grian has been slowly completing the Upside-Down Mansion, completing the exterior of the mansion in Episode 38: Mansion Finished and Pranks, asking BdoubleO100 to help him with the interior of the build. When EthosLab decided to join The Upside Down, he helped Grian with gold farm, and set up a Piglin trading farm inside the mansion. Grian has also been adding several rules to the location, with each new Citizen adding one more rule to the list.
Hermit Challenges
MumboJumbo noticed that Grian had many, many campfires, which he calls "burnsticks" and questioned whether Grian was initiating Hermit Challenges. He and Iskall85 decided to prank Grian by building a giant chicken inside his base, filled with named chickens. Each chicken was a hermit challenge that Grian had to complete. Some of the challenges included: "wear blue"(on his skin), "sell someone rotten flesh"(which he completed by selling to Keralis, who gave him two stacks of diamonds for it), and "give the treasure island another go"(which resulted in Grian gaining several stacks of diamond ore, which he had lost before when he was excavating Iskall's Treasure Island.)
In retaliation to the numerous chicken challenges, Grian made a giant floating "uno-reverse" card in between MumboJumbo and Iskall85's bases. The card contains named chicken challenges for Iskall85 and MumboJumbo to complete.
The Breakdown of Grian
Grian decided to do his hermit challenge of "having a breakdown in episode 44" and started by transitioning to the base to work on the back. He then decided to say that he didn't want to work on the back and say that "the mansion is ugly, I'm ugly, I don't know why I made this to begin with" He then placed a lot of TNT around the front of his base and repeatedly said that "you think I won't do it, I'll do it" and also said "this is your fault for pressuring me to complete the back of the mansion" before blowing it up, and immediately regretted it, saying "my mansion, my beautiful mansion" only escaping the explosion with a pesky bird. He then transitioned to him in a bed, dreaming the whole thing up before Iskall85 said "you know I'm not a therapist." He then said that he thinks that counts as having a breakdown, in episode 44.
Mycelium Resistance
GoodTimesWithScar, after becoming mayor, decided to get rid of all the mycelium on the island. In Episode 37 of Season 7, Grian decided to put a patch of mycelium outside of the barge, with a sign saying, "Mycelium Resistance!". He then used one of the challenge chickens to challenge MumboJumbo and Iskall85 to replace the Diamond Throne with mycelium, causing GoodTimesWithScar to declare war on the Mycelium Resistance. This led to the Turf War between the Mycelium Resistance, led by Grian and H.E.P., led by GoodTimesWithScar, which eventually culminated with a Mini-game Showdown. The Mycelium Resistance won the war, although it was agreed that the mycelium in the Shopping District would be converted back to grass.
Secret Base Inside Other Hermit's Base
In order to disprove rumours regarding to that would be considered rule-breaking on Hermitcraft, Grian began building secret bases hidden within the bases of other Hermits.
ImpulseSV's Sea Pyramid Base
Grian has made a hobbit hole themed base in one of the corners of ImpulseSV's Pyramid. It includes: a 5 furnace super smelter, a fireplace, a jukebox (which was triggered near ImpulseSV by mistake), A secret entrance, and a redstone peephole designed by EthosLab. He has also hijacked ImpulseSV's melon and pumpkin farm as ImpulseSV didn't link it up.
Keralis' City
After ImpulseSV discovered Grian's secret base (as Grian had gone afk next to a ringing bell inside his secret base) ImpulseSV revealed that he had faked having a secret base in Grian's base in the first place. The base was instead inside of BdoubleO100's castle. BdoubleO100, ImpulseSV and Grian decided to take the secret base game to Keralis' city, as there were many hiding places in all Keralis' buildings.
The Sewer Community
Grian, ImpulseSV, BdoubleO100, and GoodTimesWithScar(who had just joined the secret base squad) built a massive sewer room under Keralis' city, which they plan to use as a connection between all of their secret bases in Keralis' base.
The Keralis Games
After making the sewer room, Grian revealed "The Keralis Games" to the other members of the Secret Base Squad. Points are awarded to those who move parts of Keralis' base to the sewers. Making Keralis laugh would also award points. Just after declaring GoodTimesWithScar the winner due to his theft of an airplane, Keralis and ZombieCleo burst in and ended the games, as the games were only planned to go on until they were discovered.
Hermit Craft Big Base Swap
For the HCBBS, Grian gained the title to Zedaph's base. He also made 3 diamonds when he sold MumboJumbo's base deed back to GoodTimesWithScar after GoodTimesWithScar gave the deed to Grian.

Season 8
Start of the season
Moments after starting season 8, he died from an Iron Golem, thus making his death the first on-screen death. He then ventured with MumboJumbo to the northern side of the world. They met GoodTimesWithScar on the way and settled at a place they called the Boatem Pole along with ImpulseSV and PearlescentMoon. Grian managed to be the first to beat the ender dragon and obtain the dragon egg.
Shops
Grian first made a small shop near the Boatem Pole with a minecart on a track named G-train or Grain for short, continuing ZombieCleo's joke from the Head Games. It sells mending books, an ender chest, and honeycomb. He claims one day it will be a huge train on a track, richer than the Barge.
He later upgraded the minecart to an actual train on the edge of Boatem Town that sells various blocks and items.
Base
Starter Base
Grian's Season 8 starter base is a house made mostly of blocks from 1.17, including moss at the base of the building, tuff, andesite and cobblestone for the walls and a mix of deepslate bricks and copper blocks for the roof. He uses moss, vines, glowberries, mossy cobblestone, and leaves to give the base an overgrown feel. A telescope with a lens of amethyst blocks and a body of dark oak sits on the top roof of the base.
Inside the base, he used calcite for the first floor, with spruce planks being used for the staircase and the second floor. Built into the floor of the first floor was a wool farm made of moss and lime stained glass. He also has a melon and pumpkin farm in one of the towers of the starter base. After the start of Tegg, he adds in multiple secret escape routes and areas through paintings.
Main Base
Grian's Season 8 main base was a cave in a cliff, in order to make his "own Caves and Cliffs update". The base is located in the mountain near Boatem.
He started off by landscaping and draining water. The cave entrance is taller than the original mountain, so had to build "his own cliff, Bdubs style". Later, he decided the mountain was too small so he made a giant sign saying "SCAR BUILD HERE". This led to many other signs, and even Grian needing to make it more formal, until GoodTimesWithScar eventually caved and built the mountain. Later this gave Grian the idea to join every Boatem base together.
Soon, he made some houses and mock shops inspired by Diagon Alley. At the end of the alley was the front of the Griangotts Bank, which he never finished due to time issues. He never finished any of the base's back, actually. He made some of these usable, and added a trading hall underground, but soon scrapped the idea to make them all farms and instead collaborated with other Hermits to make aesthetic buildings.
He soon named it Midnight Alley due to the cool nighttime looking roof, and added GoodTimesWithScar's dark corner alley extension.
He never actually used it as a base, except for the one time he slept in a decorative bed.
The Tree Battle
The Tree Battle is a small-scale war occurring at the very start of the season, mainly between MumboJumbo and Grian. It started due to Grian wanting to test how far MumboJumbo would go in order to replant every tree he has to cut down. Firstly, he placed trees around his base. This led to MumboJumbo "finishing the back" of Grian's mansion by planting walls of trees, so Grian made a giant tree tower on his base, which led to a massive tree built by GoodTimesWithScar that Grian blew up. Then Grian made Treesa, a tree monster that picked up MumboJumbo's base. MumboJumbo turned this into his base and they created the Tree-ty room, where they ended the war. Later this caved in and was turned into the lab where MumboJumbo took Grian's soul in an attempt to become a human instead of a... pigman? This led to him getting a waffle on his head.
Boatem Town
Grian moved the Boatem Pole to the center of the area and asked ImpulseSV to make a hole to the bedrock, after which the Boatem crew proceeded to sacrifice GoodTimesWithScar in the hole many times. Eventually the bedrock was removed, goats were added and many other shenanigans occurred. Grian admitted later that it was remade many times, likely due to boat physics, boats despawning, hostile mobs in the boats, explosions, and server resets possibly removing the boats.
Tegg
Tegg is a game about hiding the Dragon Egg from other Hermits in your base, created by Grian. The first player to hide the Dragon Egg in their base for 500 Minecraft days in total wins the diamond blocks used by the Hermits to sign-up for the game. The rules were: It must be in your base or a build made by you, you must be able to see one side of the egg, and there must be a way to get it. This means that something like glass cases are okay, as long as there is a way to get the egg (like how Grian made people pay 5 diamonds for it), and hiding them inside builds is also okay as long as there is a way to get in without breaking any blocks (unless said otherwise by the base owner).
The game was won by Cubfan135 during his Season 8 Episode 19.
Giant Moon
Grian was the first one to notice that the moon had grown from its usual size. He build a moon observatory to calculate the size of it. He later joined The Mooners. Grian then proceeds to hire GoodTimesWithScar for all the diamonds in Boatem to build a rocket ship to send all of the members of Boatem to space. It failed to go anywhere, and the Boatem crew had to jump in the abyss. This was anticipated by Grian, as he stayed on half a heart for the whole episode, and when he asked MumboJumbo for a "high five", it would kill him, ending MumboJumbo's "no killing" theme once and for all.
Season 8 ended far quicker than any other season, so that the hermits could get ready for the new update.

Season 9
Start of the season
Season 9 started off with Grian and MumboJumbo pushing GoodTimesWithScar into a large hole many times over. The three then proceeded to explore a large cave, with the new generated terrain from the 1.18 update, "the Caves and Cliffs" update.
Base
Starter Base
Main articles: Grian's Witch hut and The Entity
At the start of the season, Grian created a boulder of deepslate, stone and moss, calling it The Entity. He decided to make The Entity a shop, selling whatever items he had at hand. Upon the addition of new items on sale, he adds to the Entity, slowly making it bigger. As of May 5, 2022, The Entity now has a broken copper wheel, and two trees. At first, he wanted to live in The Entity itself, but he later changed to Grian's Witch Hut as his starter base.

Main Base

In Episode 8, Grian started his megabase, creating a large pile of rocks in the middle of a birch clearing. He named it "Dwayne", as a joke to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. As of Episode 9, he added a large Greco-Roman style building, and a bridge connecting it to a nearby hill. He also added a portal of floating stones arranged in a circular manner above his main rock.
Throughout the season Grian has plans to add different styles of buildings to each of the rocks going from neo-classical style buildings all the way to eventually space-age. So far Grian has added two styles and a cherry blossom tree.
Copper War
Grian started a battle with MumboJumbo when he saw MumboJumbo placing copper to oxidize inefficiently. This led to multiple different builds between the two bases, making it the fourth season in a row he started a war.
Prank War: Buttercups vs the GOAT
Grian and GoodTimesWithScar accidentally blew up Docm77's tunnel borer, starting a prank war between them. Grian and GoodTimesWithScar allied with MumboJumbo, forming the group called the Buttercups, being known for their triumphs due to incompetence. Docm77 allied with Rendog, Rendog playing the role of a spy, making use of the proximity chat mod. The Buttercups’ final prank, ending the war, was covering the perimeter in grass and trees.

Season 10
Start of the season
Grian's Season 10 started by meeting up with ImpulseSV and GoodTimesWithScar to raid a village. Grian later met up with SmallishBeans and GeminiTay to explore. They were joined by ImpulseSV and Skizzleman. Together they decided to live on a mountain they called Magic Mountain and so the Magic Mountain Crew was created.
Manifesting Mending
Grian plans to take it slow this season, so he decides to spend his time fishing for a mending book instead of buying it directly from a villager. He gets very unlucky and fishes a total of 9728 times before finally getting it. In the process, he builds the Chamber of Sea Critters underground and puts up a painting of him fishing out the mending book he so desperately seeks in order to help him "manifest" it into reality.

Grian builds his starter base on a platform at the side of Magic Mountain, between GeminiTay's base and GoodTimesWithScar's base.

Before Hermitcraft
Grian is known for creating building tutorial videos on YouTube. He is also known for having participated in the Minecraft Evolution (or EVO) server for 51 episodes, his now third-longest running series after Hermitcraft Season 6 and Hermitcraft Season 7. Grian's channel exploded quickly, and was one of the fastest-growing channels on YouTube for a short while, after uploading the video, "5 Easy Steps To Improve Your Minecraft House". Many of his tutorials focus on how to improve existing builds and often focus on how to improve building skills in specific areas, such as building pillars, towers, roofs, and rustic houses, a subject which has become something of a running joke on the channel. He is the creator of TNT Run, which is now a popular minigame used in multiplayer minigame servers such as Hypixel. He also created the popular minigame "Build Swap". His most viewed video is '50 Ways To Mess With Your Friends In Minecraft' with 86,049,060 views as of December 2023. He also did a series called 'Building Your Comments', in which he built things the viewers suggested in the comments.
Outside of Hermitcraft
Grian sometimes does build tutorials and build swaps. He is also a co-owner of Wynncraft, with his first video being a timelapse of a building in Wynncraft the Minecraft MMORPG, along with Salted and Jumla.
He has two cats, Pearl and Maui, the latter he submitted to the cat competition that Jellie, GoodTimesWithScar's cat, won.
At one point in 2020, Grian and MumboJumbo took a road trip to travel around Great Britain on a Minecraft Earth adventure. In MumboJumbo's Season 7: Episode 44, he states that he just got back from a road trip in his VW bus, most likely the Minecraft Earth road trip, indicating that the trip most likely occurred in early September.
Grian sometimes streams for fundraisers for S.O.S Africa.
Two Much Grian
Grian's second channel Two Much Grian features the "Best of Grian" series, which are recaps of his own Hermitcraft episodes since he first joined, each recap spanning up to 10 episodes at a time. In addition, the channel features other videos, like recaps of his other minecraft series and videos of him playing Among Us with other hermits.
Minecraft Championship
Grian is a recurring player in the Minecraft Championships, playing since the 6th monthly Minecraft Championship. He has gone on to participate in MCC 6th to 13th monthly Minecraft Championship in Season 1, and has participated in MCC 14th to 26th monthly Minecraft Championship in Season 2. He has also participated in a ‘non-canon’ event that is MCC Pride 2021, MCC ALL STARS, and MCC Pride 2022. With both MCC Pride events (which helps raise money towards the Trevor Project and raise awareness for the LGBT community), Grian also won MCC 17 with the help of PeteZahHutt, SB737 and FalseSymmetry. (Note: Grian didn't stream MCC 6)
The Life Series SMP
Grian was the founder of the Life Series SMP and has played in all 5 seasons.
Third Life
Grian won Third Life after a fist-fight against GoodTimesWithScar, despite Grian himself claiming he wouldn't win Third Life. The main twist in this season is that people would only have 3 lives. When people reached their last life, their alliances would be broken.
Last Life
The second season of Third Life is "Last Life", in which one would have a random amount of lives, between two and six. Grian started out with only 2. Besides, there was also the Boogeyman: the Boogeyman has to claim another individual's life, or else they themselves would end up on their last life. People can also sacrifice lives to other people.
Double Life
Double Life is similar to Third Life. However, this time, their lives are bound with other people: if someone takes damage, their soul-mate will do so too. Grian was paired with GoodTimesWithScar.
Limited Life
Limited Life is the fourth season of the Life series. They have 24 hours to live. Grian was part of the "Bad Boys" trio along with Jimmy (SolidarityGaming) and Joel (SmallishBeans) until both of them died. He then became a "Nosy Neighbor" with PearlescentMoon and BigB.
Secret Life
Secret Life is the fifth season of the life series. At the beginning of each session, each player is given a secret task to complete before the end of the session. Failure results in the loss of 10 hearts whilst success results in additional 10 hearts. There is no regeneration mechanic on this server. Each player is able to gift one heart per session to another player. Grian went solo until he joined with EthosLab and ZombieCleo to have some allies.
Real Life
Real Life is an April Fools joke with the same rules as the 3rd Life series, but instead played in VR. All players uploaded their videos together. This series is a one-off. Meaning that the 1st episode and finale are the same.
100 Hours of Hardcore Minecraft

Songs
Grian is known for singing many small tunes in his episodes of Hermitcraft that are often remixed by members of the community, such as Elybeatmaker and JCTheFluteMan. Grian also commissioned Rendog's brother, independent musician Jono Smithers, to write music for his timelapses, as well as a song entitled "Work", which Grian created an in-game music video for and the 2 songs for MumboJumbo's mayoral campaign.
One of Grian's most well known songs is 'Mumbo Jumbo You are AFK', a song which was remixed by Elybeatmaker first and by Naffy Zacky as an animated clip lasting approximately 2 minutes.
Trivia
- He was born August 9, 1993, which makes him 30 years old.
- Due to his high number of subscribers it has been noted other Hermits that have done collaborations with Grian saw a spike in their sub-count, this phenomenon was dubbed "The Grian Effect" by the community.
- With over 14 million views, his first episode of season 7 is the most watched Hermitcraft episode of all time.
- Grian is one of the regular participants of the Life Series, which is also hosted by him.
- Grian tends to never finish the back of his build leaving this a meme to the community itself.
- Grian tends to push buttons out of curiosity leading to some redstoners in the server Grian-proofing or spam proofing their redstone builds because of it.
