Generikb is a former Hermit with 1,060,000 subscribers[1] and was the original founder of the Hermitcraft server. His first video on Hermitcraft was posted on April 13, 2012. Season 1[]
Generikb was one of the earliest members of Hermitcraft. He was also one of the members of the team comprised of Biffa2001, Hypnotizd, Topmass and Xisumavoid that killed the Season 1 Ender Dragon. He was known as "the Hermit of Minecraft". His base in Season 1 contained lots of security traps and codes needed to enter, which led to many Hermits to make videos trying to get in. He then left Hermitcraft after this season.

Rejoining Hermitcraft[]
In 2017, Generikb stated in the comment section of one of his videos that he did request to rejoin Hermitcraft, but his request was denied. This was a group vote and because not all of the Hermits thought he would be a good fit for the server, Generikb also stated that he thinks this is mostly because he no longer uploaded Minecraft on his channel. [citation needed]
Season 8 "prank"[]
On June 11, 2021, Generikb started to post a series of tweets on Twitter that heavily implied he was joining Hermitcraft Season 8. On June 20, 2021, he live-streamed on Twitch pretending he was on the Hermitcraft server, going as far as to fake in-game messages and chat.
This caused backlash when it turned out to be untrue, as many people donated money or gifted subscriptions during the stream to him as a ‘welcome back’ gift, unaware it was a ‘prank’. Active and former Hermits, including Cubfan135, Hypnotizd, Jessassin and Welsknight, called Generikb out for this on Twitter, making people aware that he had lied and was not a part of Hermitcraft.[2][3]
Generikb has since apologized and has donated the money he received to S.O.S Africa, a charity helping people in South Africa that active Hermits have previously done charity fundraising streams for. The situation has since been left unmentioned.
