Decked Out 3 is an upcoming minigame, planned by TangoTek for Season 11. It will be a continuation of Decked Out from Season 7 and Decked Out 2 from Season 9.
History[]
Primary Denial[]
Shortly after opening Decked Out 2 in Season 9, TangoTek stated that he would not make Decked Out 3. The only option he considered at the time was if he could "somehow" make it using Create Mod.[1] It's unknown if he thought about making it on another SMP, with this mod or about the unlikely possibility of implementing the mod during one of the Hermitcraft seasons. It is also possible that he said this knowing that these conditions would most likely not be met and having no actual intention of creating Decked Out 3.
Confirmation[]
During Season 10 TangoTek, while talking to PearlescentMoon, mentioned that he saw her playing Decked Out 2 on Season 9 World Download and that it caused him to miss the minigame. He immediately added that a new Decked Out instalment would definitely not happen during Season 10, but maybe in Season 11.
Later, as they talked, TangoTek asked PearlescentMoon for suggestions for what could been changed in Decked Out 2. She didn't have an answer ready at the time, so she just suggested keeping the aspect of exploration and beating the game, without focusing only on the competitive side. At the end of that sentence she added "if you make it again", to which TangoTek nodded and revealed that he started a document with notes for a new game.[2] During the TwitchCon 2025 Hermitcraft Panel, it was formally announced that Decked Out 3 was being planned, with at least a 40 page document of notes.
Construction[]
ImpulseSV and Skizzleman have agreed to help TangoTek with anything needed to build Decked Out 3.
TangoTek has begun to build and terraform started an entire mountain, with a large castle gate to pose as the entrance of Decked Out 3. TangoTek has also cleared all of the trees in the surrounding areas.[3]
Plans[]
TangoTek has confirmed multiple ideas he will do to build Decked Out 3. TangoTek says that if you want to suggest an idea or anything about these plans, to tune into his streams.
- 500x500 mountain encompassing the entirety of the game
- 400,000+ black wool used underneath the mountain as a dark sky[3]
- A storyline/video of Graywick, a once bustling town overtaken by fog with creatures inhabiting the town
- New gameplay mechanic of Quests/Tasks and unravel the mysteries of the town
- Ravagers, Vindicators, Evokers, Creakings, Witches, Spiders, Cave Spiders, Zombies, and Bogged are some or all the creatures that will be used.
- The location of Decked Out 3 will be in a swamp, due to the fact the water color fits the theme of the game.
- Flatten, or at least terraform the entire swamp
- Decked Out 3 Merch
Trivia[]
- TangoTek mentioned that he revealed to ImpulseSV and Skizzleman his planning notes for Decked Out 3. ImpulseSV did not reveal anything about the content, but described it as "insane" and TangoTek called the document "extensive".[4][5]
- TangoTek predicts, not confirmed that the project will take 8 months on November 9th, 2025.[6]
