Boatem Town

Boatem Town, also known as Boatem Village, is a settlement in Season 8 situated at the northern tip of the main continent. It takes its name from the Boatem Pole in the center of town built on the first day of the server. Boatem Town is home to the Boatem Gigabase, BTM Inc. shops and the starter bases of GoodTimesWithScar, Grian, ImpulseSV, MumboJumbo and PearlescentMoon.

Current Builds[]

	Grian's Starter Base	A house built using mostly 1.17 blocks, mainly Moss and Deepslate, along with a few copper blocks for texture. The base currently has a hole in it covered by scaffolding after an incident involving End Crystals. At the end of the telescope was an end crystal placed by MumboJumbo that Grian detonated on the last day of the season.
	The G-Train and the G-train platform	A shop made by Grian that sells various items. Formerly just a minecart chest endlessly spinning in a circle. The G-Train has six carriages, selling enchanted books, deepslate, wool, and other various items.
	GoodTimesWithScar's Lan'bo'	A wagon with a big copper roof which has been entirely waxed. Its name is a portmanteau of "Land-Boat" and a reference to LLAMBOW, his bow from previous seasons.
	Bee-serk	A shop owned by GoodTimesWithScar that sells bee-related items such as honey blocks, honeycombs and honeycomb blocks.
	Swaggon Garage	A garage built by GoodTimesWithScar to replace the Swaggon Parking Lot.
	PearlescentMoon's Viking Boat	An upside-down boat on land. It was facing the wrong way from the Boatem Pole, towards the Goatem Pole, so PearlescentMoon with the aid of ImpulseSV rebuilt it the right way.
	Padllama Co.	A shop owned by PearlescentMoon that sells books, enchanted books, name tags, netherite ingots and tinted glass. The shop's wares are also shipped out on llamas with yellow carpets and chests in boats to locations near the other Hermits' bases.
	Treesa	Formerly a simple RV, was turned into a tree monster after Grian and PearlescentMoon pranked MumboJumbo in The Tree Battle by making a giant tree golem picking up his RV as retaliation for the Tree Too Good To Remove. MumboJumbo liked the build so much that he decided to incorporate it into his base rather than take it down.
	MumboJumbo's Manual Crop Farm	A very early game crop farm built with wood.
	MumboJumbo's Automatic Potato Farm	A 2 floor automatic potato farm that automatically cooks the potatoes into baked potatoes for the Potato Boy Tater Vendor. Also serves as MumboJumbo's XP farm by baking the potatoes automatically.
	Vol-carb-o	A volcano replica that shoots out loads of potatoes with a TNT going off replicating the eruption made by MumboJumbo.
	Harmless Harvests	A shop owned by MumboJumbo that sells obisidan, end crystals, potatoes, and various mob drops (obtained without direct slaughter according to his in-game statistics page).
	ImpulseSV's Starter Base	A small house with some 1.17 blocks that uses mainly yellow glass and oak wood. Has an underground section which contains a storage room and iron farm. Later owned by Charlie (a character who helped impulseSV create the factory)
	ImpulseSV's Industrial District	A group of farms producing nether woods, moss products, mob drops and sugarcane in the ocean to the north, that generates materials for BTM Inc.
	Boatem Town Guided Tours	Minecart tracks where players sit on a pig (Timmy the 2nd) and the pig sits in the minecart, making it look like the player is poking their head out of the ground.
	Boatem Hole and Boatem Pole	The Boatem Pole is a lot of boats on different blocks on a crafting table and a torch. The Boatem Hole (the moved version) also has a hole through the bedrock below it for sacrifices, which led to many accidents such as the Hermits falling into the hole and Timmy the Wonder Pig's death. Originated in the first days of the server, and named by MumboJumbo.
	The Mooners Temple	A temple for The Mooners, a cult created by MumboJumbo that believes the Lunar Neighbor will attack the Hermit Lands in the year MMXXI, and the Hermits must join the cult to stop by sacrificing all sleep, due to the Lunar Neighbor being angered by the Hermit's endless sleep.
	The Goatem Pole	A stack of goats in boats made by Docm77 and Rendog to mimic the Boatem Pole. As it was taller than the Boatem Pole, Grian, ImpulseSV, and PearlescentMoon 'lowered' the Goatem Pole. A large pirate ship on legs was later built by Rendog to raise the Goatem Pole
	Octagon pop-up shop	Small spider-like Walker built by Docm77. It used to sell shulker boxes, but now it's used as an advertisement for the Octagon
	iSoar	A play on "eyesore", describing its external appearance, ImpulseSV's habit of using an i____ naming scheme for things of his, and "iSoar" for the items it sells. The store sells Elytras and Fireworks, and is situated far behind PearlescentMoon's base as to not be too distracting.
	iFloatem	A shop that sells blackstone, gold blocks, and wither roses. Is at the location of iSoar and Lichen Subscribe, near PearlescentMoon's Viking boat, but it is styled as a balloon so it floats in the air. Only accessible via Elytra or pillaring.
	Impulse's Lichen Subscribe	A shop next to iSoar that sells Glow Lichen. A play on the phrase "Like and Subscribe".
	Nether Wood iEver	A shop made by ImpulseSV that sells nether wood and other blocks relating to them.
	iCandy	A shop that combines products from his previous shops as well as his bartering farm.
	Peace Treety Room	A small "bunker" located behind the Tegg Signup that contains the Peace Treety for The Tree Battle. Below is a room built with nether wood by MumboJumbo to squeeze out Grian's soul so he could become human again.
	Boatem Executive Garage	A quartz room built in a hill to house the Boatem Inc. members' motorhorses.
	Boatem Inc. Executive Private Jet	A jet created by MumboJumbo when Grian went AFK in front of him. MumboJumbo sent Grian about a thousand blocks north, until he died. Then, both Grian and MumboJumbo reversed the jet, returning to Boatem Town. It is currently positioned directly over the Boatem Pole.
	Boatem Moon Observatory	A standard observatory constructed by Grian to observe the rapidly-growing moon.
	Lunar Obliterating Launcher It's The Fastest Astronautical Interspace Long-Range Explosion Device (LOLITFAILED) Launchsite	These missiles wereMumboJumbo's plan to blow up the moon after declaring war on it.
	Boatem, Inc. Hourglasses of Flex	Five large hourglasses situated in front of MumboJumbo's and Grian's bases built for the sole purpose of flexing how many diamonds each Boatem member has.
	Grian's Midnight Alley	A mountain near the G-Train that will houses Grian's main base. This alley is modeled after "The Diagon Alley" from the Harry Potter-series. The sides are made out of different style shops and at the end is a bank named "Griangotts Bank" a play on the bank "w:c:harrypotter:Gringotts Wizarding Bank Gringotts" It has a very atmospheric feel with floating candles.
	Shady or Dark Alley (no official name yet)	A dark alleyway constructed by GoodTimesWithScar to fill in a small alleyway in Grian's Midnight Alley.
	ImpulseSV's iDimpy Factory	An extremely large, Willy Wonka style factory located on the ocean that will create candy bars in the near future.
	PearlescentMoon's Lighthouse	A castle atop a massive custom-build mountain near Grian's Midnight Alley with a hole for the G-Train Station.
	MumboJumbo's Utopia	A large "stone armchair" located between The Midnight Alley and iDimpy Factory, that is covered in greenery and houses inspired by Philippines style buildings and path ways.
	Pillbugnine's Pill Bug Statue	A statue of a pill bug. Built of andesite, stone and Hermit heads, by ten different Hermits for Pillbugnine, a Make-A-Wish patient.
TBA	Community Skeleton Farm	Skeleton spawner located beneath ImpulseSV's factory. Intact but rarely used. The entrance is stylized in sandstone, smoothstone slabs and sugarcane, as a reference to a famous remix by Elybeatmaker for MumboJumbo.
	Boatem nether portal	A nether portal located just next to the Boatem hole with a boat on top of it.
	GoodTimesWithScar's peaks	A massive mountain range stretching around the back of the town and forms the cave in which Grian's Midnight Alley is located.

	The Cave of Temptations	A cave built with Amethyst Blocks with Timmy the Wonder Pig inside which gave gifts, later looted by ImpulseSV and PearlescentMoon and completely destroyed after ImpulseSV "accidentally" sacrificed Timmy to the Boatem Hole. Before being taken down, it contained over 9 stacks of Calcite, 4 diamonds, some Iron Ingots, a Diamond Helmet, a Diamond Sword, and other items.
	World Height Tree	Created by Grian on top of MumboJumbo's RV as retaliation for MumboJumbo placing trees along the back of his unfinished house with a sign on top reading "This is ONE tree! Feel free to replant a sapling in its place!". Chopped down by MumboJumbo and replanted in front of Grian's house as the Tree Too Good To Remove.
	Tree Too Good To Remove	Built by MumboJumbo and GoodTimesWithScar as retaliation for the World Height Tree. Blown up by Grian in front of MumboJumbo, subsequently replanted by MumboJumbo, and reincarnated as Treesa.
	Tegg signup and ruleboard	The signup area for the third iteration of Tag, Tegg. Situated between Grian and MumboJumbo's bases. A portmanteau of "Tag" and "Egg".
TBA	Swaggon Parking Lot	A parking lot owned by GoodTimesWithScar that holds The Swaggons, a shop that sells items tailored for each hermit.
	Potato Boy Tater Vendor	A vending machine that dispenses potatoes.
	Not-So-Cheapslate	A small shop built by MumboJumbo next to the G-Train as Cheapslate, and later purchased by Grian by vandalizing it 3 times to get the price down to 1 diamond per 27 stacks.

Boatem Gigabase[]

The Boatem Gigabase is a collection of each member's megabases: ImpulseSV's Factory, MumboJumbo's Utopia, Grian's Midnight Alley (although not intended to be a mega base), GoodTimesWithScar's Cloud City, and PearlescentMoon's Lighthouse.

BTM Inc.[]

BTM Inc. is a union of all of Boatem Town's shops, to make Boatem the place to shop. If the plan were to go ahead the shops involved would be:

Establishment[]

At the very start of the season, MumboJumbo and Grian ventured to the north of the island to find a place to set up camp. On their journey to the north they came upon GoodTimesWithScar swimming through the ocean and brought him along with them. The three started a pack and decided that they would build their bases together.

MumboJumbo decided to add add a crafting table, then...

PearlescentMoon and ImpulseSV both found the group and decided to join as well. This led to the five all basing together in the north, with the center being the Boatem Pole, and in turn, became the Boatem Town.

Prank Wars[]

In response to rising competition from the Big Eyes Crew and Octagon, members of Boatem Town dropped boats over their respective areas, rendering them laggy and inaccessible to shoppers. TangoTek retaliated by creating a fake bedrock texture and covering important builds, such as PearlescentMoon's storage area, with it. This prompted the Boatem members to construct an enormous boat over the Big Eyes Shopping District, which had the words “Buy at Boatem” written on the bottom in glowstone, filling the area with hostile mobs. Keralis responded by taking personal training course with ZombieCleo and constructing a WW2-era battleship outside his island mansion for self-defence. Meanwhile, TangoTek dropped ravagers bearing names including “Buy at Big Eyes” and “Shop and Big Eyes for BIG savings” all over Boatem Town, which killed many members of Boatem several times.

Docm77 showed a clip at the start of his episode 21 in which is uses a TNT-duping flying machine to destroy the G-Train, however this was actually done in a duplicate world for dramatic effect. He also considered using a simple redstone lagging technique, but feared the repercussions it would cause with lagging out other Minecraft servers. Eventually, he and Rendog decided to hide screaming goats across Boatem as a form of long-term psychological warfare. Boatem members killed many of these and the redstone carriage of the G-Train was decorated with 18 screaming goat heads.

Trivia[]

PearlescentMoon is considered to be the keeper of the Boatem Pole since she has sat in every boat on the Boatem Pole.
While talking about Boatem, Inc., Grian mentioned that making a large organization "never went badly", referencing the downfall of Grian, MumboJumbo, and Iskall85's organization, Sahara, in Season 6.
- He also mentioned a baked potato not being the downfall of said organization, referencing the baked potato that Grian threw into the system, breaking it.
The Boatem Pole is not the original, and is actually the 3rd or 4th version of it, with its latest destruction being due to a Wither.
