SPOILER ALRET!!
This article is from the r/hermitcraft discord and made by the discord's moderators. I am making this forum to spread the information. If you're not aware on what's happening, check out the hermatrix page to find out.
Between episodes:
-The coordinates that Hermatrix.net gives (1534 21 -266), turn out to lead to Xisumas base. Whether this is significant or not, we do not know yet.
-The name of the Hermatrix website changes to Lucy when the coordinates are revealed. This is also the file name for the pink axolotl. -256 character limit for the terminal password.
-The terminal wants an input in the username:password format.
Doc's 2nd Video:
-There's some morse code around the 27 minute mark, that seems to translate to OTA! repeated.
-A terminal page has been added to Hermatrix.net, possibly relating to the admin password for Grumbot. It says "Operator4582@#########.net. The hashtags are presumably Hermatrix, but Cloudflare was masking them to prevent e-mail spam. <--This has now been removed, but the terminal is still there.
-Doc found 5 music discs, all the record "C418 - 13".
-Just before the 4-minute-mark, a bone meal flashes on the screen for what seems to be a single frame.
Ren's 2nd Video:
-Around 23 minutes in, there's more morse code, this time translating to GAMN. Combined with Doc's it's likely an anagram for Goatman.
The terminal login has been solved!: Guest:GOATMAN!
-Goatman came from the morse code in the videos, the username was found through the website source code in some invalid and unused CSS, and was decoded by Insidiae by reversing the text to get a valid base32 string and a Ceasar cipher, then decoding it to find the plain text version as "Use guest account".
-The commas we were seeing in the morse code were actually exclamation marks, just in a different morse code alphabet (hence Doc making his tweet with an exclamation mark song) The link to the correct morse code alphabet that Doc later confirmed was the one he encoded it in: https://maritimehull.co.uk/imager/uploads/images/2478/International-Morse-Code-Wikimedia-Commons_248ed78b6649d6cda0fcadc1ac9bc23e_248ed78b6649d6cda0fcadc1ac9bc23e.jpg
Developments since the login was found:
-Running the archive command gives us an overview of what's been going on in the ARG so far, and brings up "Operator77". It's possible we will need another login.
-The ping command seems to take a link to an image as an argument - what that image will be, we don't know.
-Whilst not listed in the help command, the cd (change directory) command exists but is unavailable to a guest user. When we get an administrator login, then we will likely get access then.
Unanswered Clues:
-Lucy. It's the name of the pink axolotl in the files, and Xisuma's skin this season. We are unsure of how this is connected.
-The coords from the first puzzle (1534 21 -266) lead to Xisuma's Season 8 base. Doc/Ren shall visit it in Episode 3. For now, it seems like we must wait for Doc/Ren's next videos for more clues.
False leads and unlikely clues:
-Grumbot is most likely just a fun nod to prior lore, and not related. Nothing was found at Grumbot in the S7 map.
-The Grumbot
-The thumbnails and intros are likely still random, but it's worth decoding just in case they'll end up meaning something together.
-The To-Do list at the start of Doc's video likely means nothing.
-Occasionally, when something is typed into the terminal, it will say "AN UNKNOWN ERROR HAS OCCURRED. This means nothing and is just the server being overloaded.
-The title command on the terminal does not help solve it.
